The automated checkout & ordering kiosks are so much faster, mistake free & surely cheaper in the long run?

Why wouldn't anyone push for any working person to lose their job if they don't have to?

Because some people like it their way.

And the kiosk will say "Welcome to McDonalds, may I take your order please" instead of stand there staring at you.

It's damn near a done deal already, just a matter of time now. When the tipping point comes and a kiosk makes financial sense, they'll be everywhere.

There was an article on drudge a few days ago about a robotic chef that can make 2000 recipes from scratch without human interaction...so it's not just the cashiers whose jobs are in danger.

We already have self scan grocery stores. The only reason automation hasn't hit everywhere is:

1. People like human interaction.
2. If whites lose their jobs to automation, they are going to blame anyone of a darker hue and start a race war.

Leave to you to pull the race card

You lose

What race card...it is the truth.
