Sounds like a good idea. Self-checkout seems to be widely accepted.

I think it says more that the so called "greedy rich" haven't made the switch than me making that observation.

And the kiosk will say "Welcome to McDonalds, may I take your order please" instead of stand there staring at you.

It's damn near a done deal already, just a matter of time now. When the tipping point comes and a kiosk makes financial sense, they'll be everywhere.

There was an article on drudge a few days ago about a robotic chef that can make 2000 recipes from scratch without human interaction...so it's not just the cashiers whose jobs are in danger.
