Zone1 Why are there so many Old Testament Christians?

Because I don't believe the OT advances hatred, theft and murder. Don't confuse the historicity of the accounts with the embellishment of the accounts. If you believe the OT is advancing hatred, theft and murder then you are reading it wrong.
This post suggests you've never read much of the OT, certainly not Deu. 7

Lot's of people have a hard time reconciling the God of the OT with the God of the NT. Some have gone so far as saying there must be two Gods. The evil God of the material world (OT) and the good God of the spiritual world (NT). This seems unnecessarily complicated to me.

If you have spent some time studying the Bible then you must know that the Jews saw God as a God of righteousness, whose loving-kindness is from everlasting to everlasting and whose tender mercies are in all his works. That God is involved in their lives and guides them. How does this not match the NT?
Yes, as I just replied to you on another thread, it seems obvious there are 2 gods involved, and one of them is Lord Moloch. That's why the star of Moloch is virtually identical to the star of David.

For me the NT's message is love and tolerance of one's fellow man. The actions of the Israeli Zionists is the exact opposite.

Words have meaning. Genocide has a meaning. Gazans are multiplying like rats. Learn to think for yourself
You sound like Donald Trump and/or Bibi. Do you know how many Palestinians have been killed by your idols in the last 18 months?

Maybe they should release the people they kidnapped, tortured, and sexually abused

“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 And a person's enemies will be those of his own household -- Jesus

So, "no". You don't understand the Bible
I do understand the bible, along with the koran and torah and talmud. They are tools to indoctrinate gullible humans. As Alan Watts noted back in the 70s they are all "the most dangerous books in the world" because they are largely responsible for wars and killing of others.

do you know how many people have been killed because of the imperialism of the Catholic Church and its vile teachings?

The question that should be asked is this "What did the first century Christians ever do without a Bible
:desk:

They wrote one.
They would copy letters from the disciples, or write down what they heard preached, and would meet in secret to share it. There were all kinds of torture awaiting a Christian, and people were afraid.
And the words in the NT, spoken by Jesus, are so important that they will never pass away. And if you want to know what He said, you have to pick up His Book.

The OT and the NT fit together like hand and glove. Many OT prophecies occur in the NT. It is the History of Man. And the History of the Jews, from beginning to end. Why leave out the beginning? Jesus referred to it often. You need to know what He was talking about in order to understand what He is telling us.

Matthew 12:39-41

As Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Without the Old Testament, we'd be like, "Whose Jonas?":eusa_angel:

They had "the Scriptures"

"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me -- Jesus

Some famous rabbi ... and if anyone remembers the name, please post it ... but he said the NT is general principles, the OT is the specifics ... if we love our brother as we love ourselves, we won't steal from him ... do we still need an 8th Commandment? ...

Yes ... we do ... the Law is perfect, it's Man who fails ... if you've read the Bible, then you know exactly why Moses was refused entry into the Promised Land ... maybe less clear is why everyone steals ... may God have MERCY on our souls ...

What's an OT Christian anyway? Seriously. I keep the Commandments because Jesus said to. I keep the Sabbath and Holy Days because Jesus did. What's an OT Christian?

Wait ... Jesus healed the blind on the Sabbath ... as He put love before law ... just like you'd snatch a baby from in front of a speeding train ... or eating leaven bread at your heathen neighbor's house, just to be neighborly ...

My guess is an OT Christian is someone who ignores Christ's rejection of divorce ... a serial monogamist ... "one mate at a time but not for life" ... like we see on TV ...
