Marriage straight or otherwise is not even mentioned in the US Constitution. Marriage is a religious rite that the government adopted over time. Alito said taking away the right to privacy would go no further than abortion.

But in Thomas's take, he wrote in his opinion that this ruling opens up the door, on all other cases they've had regarding privacy, and they all could be on the chopping block...or reviewed again, like same sex marriage, contraception, medical decisions etc.... Almost like he was an activist, calling for his colleagues to get and bring a lawsuit on any of these things.

It's been a "ends justifying the means" decision for so long that its warped some other decisions on the courts.

And Clarence Thomas is one of many justices who wished to fix the error.

I seriously doubt he has an opinion on the morality of abortion that he would share publicly....because to his way of thinking it isn't relevant.

Arguing law is all about logic and what the laws are. If a constitutional ammendment made abortion available without a state having the right to oppose the practice he would not defend Against the practice.

The logic behind forcing all 50 states to accept a practice they found abhorrent was illogical and so the decision was reversed.

Because the illogical arguments can remove your individual rights much more so than logical arguments.
