Let's see here. A bit over 2000 people showed up in NYC. NYC has around 8 million people (not counting surrounding areas). 8 million people represents over 2% of the total U.S. population.

Do the math. New York is very democrat oriented, so if anything, turnout there should be higher than the national average. AT MOST, there numbers extrapolate to no more than a hundred thousand people or so.

They matter because stupid people do not question them. 7 million people represents 2 percent of the total population of the U.S. That would mean that a city of 100000 people should expect 2000 protestors.

This does not pass the smell test at all.

Actually, some may be pre-Boomers. My sister, born in 1939, is reveling in these protests(?), along with many of the residents of the "independent living" facility (very posh, by the way) where she lives.

My theory is that she still resents the fact that she was too old for the Vietnam war protests, so is getting it out of her system now.

The amazing thing about these mass protests - and you have to acknowledge that's what they were - is that I have seen nothing indicating exactly what they were supposed to be saying other than that they are very unhappy about losing the last election, especially to someone like Donald Trump.

I am an old Boomer. I hold most of the same views I held in 1970.

In 1970, my views were considered liberal, and I worked to understand actual liberal principles. Today, the same principles are considered conservative, which is why I would never attend such a rally organized by the elites who control the Democrat party.

I would suspect these same idiot protesters also support all the authoritarian measures implemented during the previous administration which were FAR more authoritarian in nature. They are followers, not thinkers.

That's why I often remind Democrats that this is an accurate representation of their party:
