According to various sportsbooks and football analysts, the consensus over/under for the New Orleans Saints' 2025 win total is either 4.5 or 5.5 wins. This reflects low expectations for the team as it enters a rebuilding year with a new coaching staff and a quarterback competition.
Including QB."a rebuilding year"
The Saints need some young talent at just about every position.
0-3 soon to be 0-4 Rattler has played 1 good game. We will be seeing Slough under center here soon"a rebuilding year"

Probably. I've said numerous times that the franchise QB for the Saints isnt on the roster. You're the one making the claim that Rattler was the best QB in his class.Shough won't last 2 games behind that OL, isn't mobile...

Rattler is struggling as a starting QB in the NFL because he's not a starting QB talent. That's just the reality of it. He might be the best QB on their roster currently but that's like being the tallest Oompa Loompa .Hopefully you've noticed that the hype behind CJ Stroud has faded a bit. Very few QBs excel in their first few years, and the ones that do tend to have great supporting casts, and there are also "head fakes." It takes a few years for "The Smoke to Clear" on that issue. Daniels was the best, and like many other running QBs, he is now hurt. Caleb looks better. Bo Nix looks worse. McCarthy is hurt again. Drake Maye is not an impressive QB prospect, wasn't at UNC.
Rattler plays on a team with just about the worst offensive supporting cast in the NFL. He is mature enough to know he's got to get rid of the ball quickly, and that just isn't good enough. Kelvin Banks should be the ORT. Talli should move inside, and is hurt again. Asim Richards should probably be given the OLT position, which is where he played at UNC and, finally, his senior year, he really looked like he had it down and played some very impressive games against 1st and 2nd round talent. Always had great natural athleticism, but did struggle until senior year. He got one start at OLT for Dallas last year and held up pretty well. Asim Richards has the agility to hang at OLT in the NFL. Banks really doesn't. Vele was also out again. The Saint QB needs Olave and Vele out there healthy.

lolTrade Rattler to Cincy then. They'd pay up for him now....
lol. Why would Cincy trade for Rattler? They have one of the best QBs in the league and one of the better backups. I don’t think they are looking for a 3rd string qb.
Mahomes has looked like crap thos year (and last). Kelce looks like a big dumb slow OX. Reid looks stupid. What the heck? Can't even figure out a backwards ten yard pass to throw again? They didn't even go after the loose ball the first screwup. They are as bad as any. They had all off season? Ore season.
Does this mean BALT will destroy them 30-0 or worse?
.I'll just concede that Rattler is a better QB that Browning, I'm not entirely sure that's the case but for the sake of the argument I will. Cincy isn't winning a SB with Rattler under center. They aren't a bottom feeder with Browning and a SB contender with Rattler. That's for sure. So why would they give up draft capital or a player to acquire a QB on a 1 year rental so that their draft pick is a little worse, next year?Burrow is gone for the season = toe surgery. Burrow is so badly beaten up at this point, wow. I remember when the Titans sacked him 12 times in the playoff game.... and lost. You just DO NOT SURVIVE as an NFL QB taking that type of abuse regularly. Jake Browning has an "air pistol" of an arm. For the Bengals to exploit Chase etc. deep, they need an arm like Rattler's. Their season is over if they stick with Browning. They know it.

Cincy's problem is THEY DO NOT KNOW if Joe Burrow can stay healthy and play at the level he did 5 years ago going forward.
NOBODY KNOWS.
Score Rattler, and you have another serious prospect who can exploit the elite receiving talent on the Bengals for this season, and insurance for next year if Burrow is "done."
Where the Bengals are headed now is
1. out of the playoffs this year
2. a huge question about QB come draft time
"toe surgery" has wrecked many football careers, MANY...
