Rattler was one of the best QB in his draft class ! he did wondersin SC with basically no o line .. I couldn't believe he was a 5th round pick .. but he was .. if NO can get their o line tight and develop competent TEs and receivers Rattler will put up great numbers .. bank on it ! but he needs a team to help him get there .. especially since he's only played 7 games .. the kid is basically a rookie .

BTW there were 10 QB's drafted in 2024.

6 of them won starting jobs their rookie year. Rattler is 7 of 10 at best. He's definitively NOT one of the best QB's in his draft.

When the Saints made their decision, they were the last team to name a 2025 starter.

The 6 other QB's I listed drafted in the same class as Rattler went into the season as the starter. They were the starter all last year and from opening day of training camp through the last preseason game. Barring injury they will start every game this year for their respective teams.

BLUF: The Saints will once again suck this year they may win 4-5 games if they are lucky. Both Rattler and Slough will start games this year and both will struggle. The Saints will likely draft a QB in the first-round next year. The franchise QB for the Saints isn't currently on the roster.

You made an entire ******* thread about it. And of course there's no way to know for absolute certain that Rattler or the last QB taken in that draft wont turn out to be better than anyone else. That said there is zero evidence currently to support thinking that they will. There are 6 QB's who are far ahead of them and the distance between them has only gotten greater since the draft. Most QB's in general dont pan out. It's exceedingly rare that one picked outside the 1st or 2nd round does.

The 5th rd pick that was going to be cut? As usual you're living in a dream world.

3 weeks from now the Saints will be 0-4 and there's a good chance Rattler is no longer the starter. Saints will draft a QB in the first round next year and Rattler will be what he was always destined to be, a career backup or out of the league.

Takes like this are precisely why no one takes your assessment of football talent seriously.
