Who will run in 2024?

Doesn't anyone think the Establishment Republicans will make a comeback?

Maybe try to get Romney or Kasich or Flake or Bolton nominated? Or one of the Bushes, like Laura or Jeb?

Oh, goodness no. The GOP's base is a ideological dumpster fire unified by only conspiracies and a shared sense of victimhood.

What would Romney or Kasich or Flake or Bolton have to offer them?

GOP
Trump
Cruz
Possibly Pence, but he's beige...

If Trump doesn't get the GoP nod he'll run as an indepedent, split the vote and Harris will get in.

Dems
Harris
Gabbard
If DJT runs as an I he will win because everyone who voted or him already knows he's not an R.

The more conservative the candidate, the less chance of a GoP win.

I disagree. If you are correct then this nation is already beyond hope to be saved, so it doesn’t really matter
The problem you have - whether you like it or not - is that US demographics are changing every election cycle. And in a way that is not good for the GoP. The GoP needs to appeal to minorities and women and those in the LGBT community. The LGBT and minority demographics are getting bigger each election cycle, especially the Latinos. Black population is pretty static but Latinos are getting bigger and bigger. And while you and I could rattle of half a dozen Latino Conservative politicians, the bread and butter - ie voters - aren't there. The Conservative base of white men and women is dying out every election cycle.

And no, the country is not beyond saving. Your country has changed its sails many times over the past 250+ years, from getting rid of slavery, through to handling the Great Depression and WWII through the GFC.

I reckon his Deplorable base with vote for him, which is about 50 per cent of those who voted for him this time around.

Don't worry, when the Dark Ones take over and the US no longer makes money, the rest of the world will turn into an even bigger shit hole.

The only one of those four who is politically savvy and Conservative enough to have any chance is Candace Owens. Unfortunately she’s a woman which makes her unacceptable.

Candace Owens is black and a female which makes two strikes with Republicans.

Every seat the Republicans picked up from the Democrats in this election were won by either women and/or minorities. Trump's numbers also increased with working class blacks and Hispanics despite losing the election. The Democratic Party does not have the monopoly on brown people they thought they did.

Because if you don't, you'll never win another presidential election again.

I would rather lose every election in history than to vote for a Socislist/Progressive. It’s as simple as that. Better to know the man in office is my Enemy than to have to guess about his motivations.

And do not forget, Trump was/is NOT a conservative.
Dunno what he is. He's in it for himself mostly.

No, Trump wasn’t really a Conservative. He was far too Moderate on policy and didn’t have a Conservative spine. However, he was far closer than anyone else in 2016 and 2020. Most importantly he obviously wasn’t going to support Progressive/Socialist policies.

BRW - Being in it for himself IS a Conservative ideal.

If the Democrats continue their power grab and cheating it won't matter who runs on the Republican side. The winner will be pre-determined...again and the lemmings will all act as if it was all on the up and up...again.

What are your top 5 planks that a conservative needs to have for you to vote for him/her?

(BTW - there are several things I like about Conservatives. There are several things I can't stand. Probably the highest on the list of things I can't stand is being in it for themselves).

Getting into office not to serve the people but enrich yourself.....sounds like a conservative to me.

Who won in 1980? 84? 88? 2000? 2004? 2016? In the past 40 years 24 of those years have been GoP presidents. Please, enough of the whining. You lost. Get over it.

If you are correct then there is no hope for Traditional America, which is the only REAL America in my mind. That America has been dealt massive injuries repeatedly since 1861 and is on its last legs.

At the point it truly died I become a man without a country and since this nation WAS the last hope for human society, were fucked and it’s probably time for me to check out, permanently.

Must have a Conservative “walk the talk” biography/resume.

1. Must be Strong State Government - Weak Federal Government.

2. Against ALL forms of Federal welfare (personal, corporate, state, international, etc...

3. Isolationist

4. America Only (not America First)

5. Against all defect spending.

Republicans don’t elect negroes

Conde Rice if she is willing to would be a great candidate for the GOP. Niki Haley, Romney, Jeb Bush , Pence are all front runners .It depends what direction the GOP state delegates want the party to go in.
The DNC , I waiting for the dust to clear to see what direction it wants to go in.

The role of an elected official is not to serve anyone, but instead to enforce the foundational document(s) of the level of government they serve at.

Greed is a Conservative ideal. If the founding documents of a government are written properly, it shouldn’t be an issue for elected officials. If not, then it is contrary to Conservative ideology not to take advantage of that.
