Actually if FPOTUS#45 hadn't survived it would not have worked in the DEMs favor.

#1 The GOP would have to replace Trump who is despised by large segments of voters and would be replaced by someone else (for example the last other candidate standing was Hailey) who would poll much better against Biden being younger, vibrant, articulate, and did I mention younger.

#2 The GOP would get a wave of sympathy support.
