I think the argument for bombing is just buying time.

I get it. After all, we are all dying, and just buying time ourselves. The US economy is well on its way to insolvency that on one can stop due to all the massive debt, as they try to buy time by kicking the can down the road. In fact, our very Earth will someday succumb to the expanding sun as the sun begins to die and expand, engulfing everything we know and love with no where to run too. In short, nothing is sustainable.

Trump's strike on Iran was not an escalation, it was an exit.

He can now tell everyone he has dealt with them and move on as he declares victory.

Then, if Iran gets a WMD to use on the US or Israel, he will just say NK must have given it to them or something.

Progressive can run on this. Imagine removing Homeland security, the Patriot Act, reduce the TSA, clean up the criminal code. Also cutting taxes for the peasants for all. Things like that.
