George W. Bush (the shrub), also complained about the Constitution, saying: "It's just a damn piece of paper." His statement, in its strictest sense is true, but it is also the supreme law of the land, and no state laws are supposed to undermine it. If politicians hate parts of it, what is needed, is for there to be a "Convention of States," to address and change the Constitution. A Convention of States requires 35 states to convene and discuss changes, however, it takes 38 states to actually agree on and change elements of the Constitution.
