Depends on what you mean by force or coercion. Telling countries they had better pony up to help us is not either. One example is NATO, another Climate Change. If we're going to foot most of the bills for it all then screw them. Same with the border. If they are going to help people rush to our border to cross illegally, then they'd better expect some push back on that. And, we built and paid for the Panama Canal and then just gave it to them. If they're going to just let our enemies go through then they should get some push back. We also defend Greenland and have bases there. They should pay us for that in the form of rare Earth metals, just as Ukraine should. The whole world expects us to be their gravy train for everything, to the tune of 35 trillion dollars.
