Who do you trust these days?

The wife and I were talking about it over supper.....Back when we were younger if you went to the doctor you trusted what he told you.....Same with the police, the state, and kinda-sorta the feds.

We even had a congress-critter (Frank Wolf) that any Joe Blow could call and by the end of the day he would call you back himself and help you if he could or at least point you in the right direction and even pave the way for you a bit.

Now it seems you can't trust anyone but family and maybe the Lord if you are so inclined.

I have never trusted anyone because I know they will sell you out in the end. The Lord is the last thing I would use as a refuge since he doesn't exist but in yer mind.

I don't believe in the "magic book" either but a lot of folks do.

I trust myself MOST of the time. Sometimes I'm off with decisions I make. I trust my family doctor, she seems to be very knowledgeable and friendly. I trust the police to do their job. The government I'm not so sure of. And politicians I'm REALLY not sure of. There are SO many bad ones out there.

Meh, I'm not too worried about that as I have "skills".....The question is if my old wore-out body can keep up with them.

Some of the greatest minds in human history have been reviled and called crazy/insane during their own one only to be lauded by future generations.
