Who do you think wins?

Yep. As we get closer you will hear even more about it.

Don't like it, there is very efficient ignore function on this forum.
Dude, you've been talking about it for a year, and you have 5 years till you even go there.

Are you trying to convince us, or yourself?

to close to call .. but Trump seams to have momentum when it comes to the Electoral College .. he is also polling higher than he did in 2020 and even 2016 ! polling much much higher ..
Its not close.

And the whole time I have been talking about it the time line has stayed the same, 2029 as that is the soonest my wife can retire from the VA and get a pension.

Both retirement and moving aboard take a lot of planning ahead of time. Mixing the two together takes even more. There is a great book I got called "The Five Years before Retirement" that I am using to help guide the process.

Again, feel free to put me on ignore if it bothers you that much.

It just reminds me of the mother whose 19 year old son lives in the basement and has never had a girlfriend and she spends her time talking about her future grandkids.

Whatever floats your boat, it don't bother me a bit.

I'm voting 3rd party just to register my opposition to both candidates. It's 50/50 right now so I won't even guess.

I tend to think Harris will win based on the fact I have a hard time seeing anyone switching back to Trump from the last election he lost but... people do dumb things at times.

However, there is no way to tell. The polls are too close. The turnout model each pollster uses gives the answer as to who will win but that is just their assumption.

This is the first election I feel like sitting out. If it were not so easy to vote in my state (Illinois) then I would probably skip it, but the state sent me a simple, postage paid application for a ballot, I filled it out and they sent me the ballot, and I can mail it back or drop it in the box.

Honestly, it was too easy to not vote.

Odd analogy, the mother can do nothing to help her son find a girl and have a baby with her.

Retirement takes a lot of planning. There are a lot of moving parts that need to come together.

Moving to a different country takes a lot of planning as well.

Mix the two and one would be a fool to wait till one year out to try and do it all.

You're not the only one with plans to ex-pat, just so you know. I was doing my planning before I even retired.

Of course not, it is a growing trend. There are a lot of on-line communities for those planning on doing so or having done so.

Where did you end up?

Yep, we are in Illinois as well. I was annoyed the Libertarian candidate did not make the ballot. So I wrote in Hari Seldon

If we get out and vote… Trump loses. Just like 2020 and 2022

If we don’t get out there

God help us

The Swing States have been flooded with fake polls. I don't think it's as close as you've been lead to believe.

It's difficult to believe that any sane person would vote for Trump.
Real Clear Politics is a fake poll? BAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I love the smell of Democrat desperation in the morning. Smells like victory! :113:

Not playing your little game, where everything about the Dems is a bombshell, but Trump’s criminality, depravity and senility are ignored.

#HYPOCRITES

Your game.

Your rules.

You hate it now?

Aw

A majority of Americans have heard Trump speak for the past 4 weeks and I know a majority of voters won't be choosing him for President. Electoral college results will hinge on about 7 states so I have no control in the matter.
asinine post for sure. you know absolutely nothing.

I can believe it. I know plenty of sane voters supporting both candidates and it has very little (in anything) to do with the personalities. It's about policy preferences.

Yes, and the problem you have is that you're depending on cities like Milwaukee, Detroit, Philly to turn out in huge number for Kamala. They did that for Obama. They even did it for Clinton. But now they've had four years of this nonsense and they'll just stay home in bigger numbers.

And that's enough for a Trump win
