Even though blue states tend to have more generous family spending, it is red states that have higher fertility. Conservatives in the US now have twice the fertility of liberals, a difference that grows to threefold when you look just at whites. Fertility has actually grown over 40 years on the right, while on the left, it has cratered.

Birth rates are birth rates. And when recorded along Ideological lines the fruits are clear.

Blue states have lavish government spending for children by comparison to red states. But Red states have two times the number of children per capita of blue states. Almost 3 among white families.
