The "enemies within" is something that is happening everywhere in the world and it is evident that this is all based on whether you believe in Democracy or Dictatorship?

Definition of Democracy: A government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections.

Definition of Dictatorship: A dictatorship is a form of government characterized by the rule of one person or a small group of people who have no checks and balances on their power. While portrayed to their people as benevolent, loving rulers, dictators typically come to power simply to benefit themselves.

Liberty under attack from enemies within

Then the 2008 crisis arrived in the West, with its vast state bailouts, and the argument for a free-wheeling, self-correcting Western model became much harder to make. On the back of this ideological turnaround, a technologically enhanced but fundamentally old-fashioned autocrat called Xi Jinping came to power and set about restoring the primacy of one-party, one-man rule. He could do it because getting rich had not, in fact, triggered a liberal awakening among China’s new office classes, but a sense of pride in a uniquely Chinese system.

Shaken by the crash, free societies have now started to entertain the terrifying possibility that dictatorship might actually be more efficient. Financial regulations have been redrawn in Europe with a nod to the ‘Asian macro-prudential model’. We now look, with awe, at the transformation of dodgy backwaters like Shenzhen into one of the world’s most innovative cities. We see China building eight new airports a year. We see that if Beijing wants to build a new high-speed rail line, it doesn’t waste years surveying the newt population or measuring decibels. It just smashes down whatever is in the way and builds.

And we look at our own countries and wonder why productivity and investment have barely grown for a decade.
In addition, we see what Putin has accomplished in Russia with his 80% acceptance rate and we look at so many of the failures that have occurred through Democracy where the needs and desires of the people have not been met, and we see why Trump and the Dictatorship idea has taken such a strong hold.
We now see that the Constitution that are forefathers fought for when they were ruled by the King of England is been put aside. Are we ready to give up what we have been the representatives of during the past 248 years and go back to having a Dictator care for us?

So the question is: Who is now the enemy within? Is it MAGA, that believes one man (Trump) will do the best for all of us, or the Democratic Libertarians, that believe that the people should have a representative-of-the-people government.
It really does come down to the me, me, me or the us, us. us type of mentality as one thing that has been proven a thousand times before: ."While portrayed to their people as benevolent, loving rulers, dictators typically come to power simply to benefit themselves"

What is at stake is justice by and of the established laws, individual freedom, free speech, preventive regulations that protect us all from the rich and powerful taking advantage and using us.

This poll is a lie. If you had added "globalist leftists and their Democrat Zealots" then that answer would be the run away, because it's valid. The other options are not.

All else is just:

tucks - Copy 2.webp

A false premise, lies. Trump has already assembled a team to do the best for us which includes Musk and RFK Jr as well as dozens of others.

Democrats claim Trump is a dictator then in the next post cry that other people are in charge?

Democracy? Democrats dictated that Kamala would be the nominee without a primary election.

Democrats have demonstrated they have no problem with the democrat party dictating who will be the democrat president.

Those of us who have voted for Trump, saw what he did in his first term and were satisfied with his performance as a president. We acknowledge that he is not a polished speaker, can be narcistic and belittles those that dislike him. But he didn't try to turn this nation into a Marxist One-Party-Only Government.
The same can't be said of the so-called Democrat Party.
The "enemy-within" are Marxists that have infiltrated the Democrat Party and have been trying to eliminate all political opposition to establish a "dictatorship," a Marxist dictatorship. In my opinion, any political party that openly strives to eliminate all political opposition through hate-filled rhetoric and opposing our Bill of Rights that are a part of our Constitution
There are very few presidents that I consider my favorites, one of those was president when I was in the military and that president was John F. Kennedy, a Democrat. The Democrat Party of today would absolutely reject him as what "they" consider a Democrat today. He would be considered right-wing today.
So, there is an "enemy-within" and its part and parcel of the Democrat Party today.

You are proving my OP!

Your post is ALL ABOUT He, He, He! At no time have you stated "the Republican party".

That is the definition of a Dictator...................he, he, he.

On the other side of the coin, you did say..........the Democratic PARTY. That is Democracy

Meta is ending its fact-checking program in favor of a 'community notes' system similar to X
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a series of major changes to the company's moderation policies and practices, saying that the election felt like a "cultural tipping point."

"We're gonna get back to our roots and focus on reducing mistakes, simplifying our policies and restoring free expression on our platforms," Zuckerberg said in a video. "More specifically, here's what we're going to do. First, we're going to get rid of fact checkers and replace them with community notes similar to X, starting in the U.S."

Community Notes is a feature on X (formerly Twitter) that allows users to add context to posts that may be misleading or inaccurate:

How it works
Users can sign up to contribute notes to any post. Notes are only shown publicly if enough contributors from different perspectives rate them as helpful.

Purpose
The goal of Community Notes is to correct misinformation and disinformation at the source. Studies have shown that users repost content less often and delete posts more frequently after a Community Note is attached

What this actually means is that if there are enough people that say that something is true (on X and Meta -Facebook), it will become true no matter what fact and reality say.

Is this the next step in the destruction of Democracy and the institution of Dictatorship?

I took him for a Russian troll.

He brags about Putin’s 80%” acceptance, without noting that he dictates the message in a censored press environment and presided over a police state. And then goes on to talk about “chaos” everywhere else. I’m

“Enemies within” is the phrase preferred by dictators, facists and other authoritarians to demonize their opponents.
