White Texas Pastor Breaks Down How Slavery Was a ‘Blessing’ To Black Folks

Think about that, you were horrified at Hitler's treatment of Jewish folks but thought the horror you were inflicting upon folks of color was ok. Think about how sick that is.
Stop pretending you can read minds. If you cannot find a quote where I say something that even sounds like I "thought the horror you were inflicting upon folks of color was ok", feel free to come back here and admit you were wrong about me.

WWII ended in 1945, Civil Rights Act passed in 1964. You do the math.

I was speaking of America, America saw what Hitler was doing as horrific while she was doing thr same thing to her citizens of color.

Joel Webbon of Right Response Ministries said Black folks should be thankful for the slave trade, claiming it allowed them to benefit from White people’s blessings.

There’s audacity, and then there’s whatever Christian nationalist Joel Webbon was preaching last week. The White Texas-based pastor took to his “Right Response Ministries” podcast to deliver a jaw-dropping rant that sounded more like racist White supremacist propaganda than a productive discussion.

He is telling Black folks to “stop whining and crying” about slavery when being in bondage was our fault was just the tip of the iceberg.

Webbon started off his YouTube video paying tribute to the late pastor, Voddie Baucham Jr. of Zambia, but it didn’t take long for things to go left. He went on a full-blown rant, claiming Black folks should see slavery “as a blessing,” adding that without it, we’d “live in a grass hut.”

He didn’t stop there, saying our reparations are simply “getting to live in America” — the very country built on our ancestors’ stolen labor, per Albert African American Studies. And just when you thought he’d said enough, Webbon doubled down, explaining why he believes we should be thankful for slave masters.

“The greatest moment in history for any brown or Black country is the moment that the White man’s ships arrive on your shore,” Webbon boldly declared. “He brings the gospel of Jesus Christ, he catechizes you and your children, he brings exports, he brings hospitals, medicine, life expansion increases, GDP and resources increase, medicine increases, and most importantly, you get taught the gospel of Jesus Christ so that you can live longer on Earth and then go to Heaven instead of Hell.”

This is Trump America, we are seeing white racist say this type of trash more and more.

We have seen multiple white racist, so-called preachers spewing this same garbage.

I would love for the racist who babble this bullshit to be held in slavery for about 5ys and then come back and tell us that it wasn't that bad.
Some Pastors are going to say controversial things. So what? Obama's favorite Pastor Jeremiah Wright was a perfect example. Another day, another cherry pick. :th_smiley_emoticons_gaehn:

Wrong, blacks were not being stripped of their property and possessions, confined to concentration camps under inhumane conditions and slaughtered on an industrial scale. Conditions for blacks improved every Americans improved every decade after the end of slavery everywhere except the deep south and nothing was forcing blacks to stay there but inertia.

You mean the Pastor that volunteered and actually served during a time of war, that Pastor?

Learn some fking history and not his story. Black farmers in the United States lost over 90% of their land, totaling roughly 12 to 16 million acres, valued conservatively at $326 billion. This massive, systematic land dispossession was driven by discriminatory policies, fraud, violence, and legal loopholes (like heir property laws). While heirs' property issues and forced sales were major causes, eminent domain and "urban renewal" projects (1949–1973) displaced over 1 million Black Americans, systematically seizing property for infrastructure and development. Black folks own less today than we did 90yrs ago. WTF are you talking about?
