Crime has more correlation to poverty than to race.

If blacks live in poverty out of proportion to their demographic, then poor blacks will commit crime out of proportion to the black demographic.

So the question then arises as to why blacks are disproportionately poor. A white supremacist will say this is proof blacks are inferior and nothing can be done about it except for white people to arm themselves to the teeth and to pen blacks up a safe distance away from whites.

But if we honestly want to stop crime and violence, we need to solve poverty. We need to figure out what causes it and what mitigates it.

One thing which most definitely contributes to poverty is poor education.

Do blacks receive an equally good education as whites?

Nope. Not even close.

Some people think this can be fixed with affirmative action, but that is curing the symptom rather than the disease. It gives a false sense of "doing something" which actually perpetuates the problem.


I firmly believe that most of the problems facing ALL Americans today is directly correlated to education. Not just poverty, but also our economy and our jobs.

People like Trump and other protectionists are trying to salvage obsolete jobs. We need to be educating our children for the jobs of tomorrow, not trying to preserve yesterday's jobs.

We need to sink everything we have into education. And to making our educational system level across the field.
