Yeah, that's the part that gets me. I'm surprised they have random guests staying in the same hotel while having all these dignitaries there. Worse, random guests had access to the outer perimeter of the event.

One guy earlier on TV commented that had the shooter guy showed up 10 minutes sooner, he would have access to hundreds of people as they arrived.
