I'm glad Bin Laden is dead. I would have liked it better if he were taken alive and put on trial.

Killing Saddam made matters worse for Iraq and our position in the Middle East.

No. The world is better off without them free and running terrorist outfits but I dont celebrate death, ever, because it’s too easy to move the line. Maybe today your line is terrorists, but maybe tomorrow it’s political opponents. If you dont cross the line then you dont have to worry about it moving.

The truly upsetting thing about all of this is the shooter himself.

This isn't a lunatic that has failed society and been in and out of mental health institutions or tossed from respected organizations (military or otherwise).

This guy went to college, got a degree, got a job....had all the trappings of being a normal person. He WAS a substitute schoolteacher and tutor. Sure he made some liberal posts on Social media....but that's just what they do in CA. Nothing special to see. ABSOLUTELY NORMAL, average and ordinary....if anything a bit on the successful side of life.

YES - it is truly disturbing that a guy with degrees and jobs of responsibility was a total whackjob, and not some total down and out loser. It just goes to show that such abnormals are intertwined throughout society and you meet them every day and they appear normal until triggered. Your doctor, lawyer, mailman or grocer could be just like him, or the teacher teaching your children.

NO - he was NOT normal but only appeared normal. Once the TDS is triggered, all bets are off.
