More proof Republicans love debt & will cheat every chance they get.
When they passed the first debt exploding tax cuts, they had to put an expiration date on some of thetax cuts in order to vote on it as a budgetary bill that could not be filibustered. If they had not ended some of those cuts, it would have exceeded the debt linit on budgetary bills.
Now they come back & want to make these expiring tax cuts permanent.
This is cheating. This is dishonest. This is a violation of the spirit of the law.
The two combines will add 5 trillion to the debt over the next ten years.
Republican voters cheer it. The "OMG OMG OMG the debt" Republicans were bought off by an extra 20-30 bucks a month. Most of which have been eaten by inflation & rising prices because of tariffs.

Which won't garner any attention in the news cycles.
Rightard America will be to busy with their self righteous indignation of all of the Trump family members being subpoenaed to testify in front of those committees the Republicans will no longer have control of.
As far as Kavanaugh goes, whether or not he is confirmed is irrelevant. The overwhelming majority of Americans believe Dr. Ford, and think Kavanaugh is the political hack he has been exposed to being.
What he will do is insure larger turnouts in elections at every level, and may very well singlehandedly be responsible for the flipping of a majority of state legislatures from red to blue, which is already happening now, and in the reddest of districts, before the Kavanaugh even began.
One thing is for sure. The subpoena power the Democrats is very real, and there is nothing Kavanaugh can do to stop that, or the Constitutional power of the House of Representatives to control the spending that Democrats will make sure Trump or Senate Republicans won't be doing any more of the rest of Trumps term in office.
