Death is the true awakening, unless you can do it when “alive”, which most people don’t. Even beyond consciousness, all we are is existence, which just “is”. The ‘true nature’ state is there is no you, there is no here, there or anywhere. All there is, is existence, it’s not locatable.

A scientifically explainable process created you. Just like a chicken or panther. Then you, the chicken and panther live your lives. When we die what happens to the thinking feeling panther?

The appearance of the panther dies, but your true nature was always there, as consciousness or as existence, so you just vibrate (for lack of a better word) in that state until you dream a little dream again.

Edit to add, I think i misread your post a little.. so we, the human appearance dies?, then the panther is left wandering the jungle, what happens to him? The dream ends with you, so the appearance of the panther is gone.

What happens to the conscious of the panther?

We know the same thing physically happens to our bodies and the panthers when we die.

Consciousness/existence just is. So if we are all consciousness and that is all we are, then we are all one and the same. The panther is you. I am you. We are in your story/dream. So when your story/dream ends, so does everything else.. that is a hard one to wrap your head around. We are living a type of high tech, virtual, reality. It’s a dream landscape. Within that dream landscape when the panther dies, yes his soul rebirths and you can feel him around you if you are tuned to that. But that in itself is still just a story. Only consciousness/existence is real. There is nothing else. No you, me, panther, souls, death, birth. Just love and freedom.

That is all slightly confusing.. i think you have a really good take on it all though. Impressed..

Right. So if in four years they’re struggling and not saving enough to buy a home, and retire by 67…

Republicans will try to convince them that buying a home is over rated. Just like their solution to college costs is don’t go.

Actually the solution to college costs going up is to get the Government out of the college loan business. The reason a young person wouldn't/shouldn't go to college isn't about the cost necessarily it's the cost vs potential pay from receiving the degree. If you're getting your degree in engineering or STEM the price is probably worth it, if you're getting a gender studies degree you're going into debt for a degree that has no chance of helping you pay that debt off. That's one of the reasons the Government issuing the loans is such a horrible idea. The Government doesn't care what degree you're getting or if the investment is sound, it's not their money they are playing with. Also not everyone is cut out to go to college. I didnt. Retired at 45. My wife didnt retired at 40.

Neal Degrass Tyson was asked what happens when you die. Rather than get religious he explained the difference between getting buried compared to being cremated. And he explained this:

Some might argue that means their soul will be transformed to heaven.

I jus think it’s cool the law of conservation says what makes me has been around since the Big Bang. And I will be a part of this universe forever. Even if my consciousness dies when I die. It transforms to something else. Not me with my memories. That’s wishful thinking.
