When I was in the service, I knew this Asian-American gal, who was dating one of my fellow NCOs. The guy was an asshole and I needed a better class of friend. Well, anyway, their relationship was abusive and he didn't make good on his promises to marry her. She decided to up the ante by "forgetting" to take her birth control pills and got pregnant. When he wouldn't make good on his promises to marry her... she got an abortion. Why? Because she didn't want her religious, traditionalist parents to know she wasn't still a virgin at 22.
A year later, she got back with the same guy... got pregnant again. Got another abortion.
I can't honestly believe this woman would have been discouraged by any law you idiots might put on the books. And this was someone who knew when abortion was illegal in her lifetime. Women of fertile age have never known a time when abortion wasn't an option in this country.
