There are many among the citizens/voters who can grasp the ideological and fiscal differences common in most ballot choices, such as to make a choice that matches their beliefs and positions.

Those viewing it as a "lesser-of-two-evils" mostly reflect their ignorance and laziness when it comes to basics of politics. Those who see it as such, would be best advised to not even vote since it's clear they have given little to no thought on candidates and issues.

The mindless opposition to anything President Trump says or does has reached a level which can only be described in mental health terms. Has there previously been in our nation's recent political history a comparable situation wherein one political party instantly reverses its own policies just because a President of the other party acts in accordance with them?

Whatever President Trump is for, the Democrats are immediately against, whether it be stopping illegal entry into the US, improving trade agreements with other countries, or pursuing peace negotiations. I do not recall this being the case with other Presidents, even when they were reviled by the other party. For example, Republicans generally considered President Clinton to be a scumbag, but that did not prevent their cooperation on economic matters. And their opposition to many Obama/Biden policies were substantive rather than personal. Even the Democrats' opposition to President Trump during his first term was focused more on removing him from office rather that disagreement with his specific policies.

This time around, the opposition to Trump's policies seems psychotic in nature. No matter what beneficial results his policies have achieved, the Democrats immediately reject them. As a result, they have adopted irrational policies that illegal entry into the US is good, that a growing economy is bad, and that international peace negotiations are to be avoided at all costs.

When will this insanity end?

Thing is the Left/Democrat's don't see what they do and believe as insanity.
To them it is the correct and proper way they should act; so we can't expect any major change soon.
Hopefully, on an individual level many will see the "error of their ways" and change course, which could be seen as a form of 'loosing insanity (recovering)' to those on the "outside". To those changing it might seem more like "waking up".
