When we say trump is stifling dissent, this is what we mean.

They’re civil servants which means that they work for us.

The fact that you forgot this shows that you’re believe in an authoritarian government.
They work for our chosen and duly elected President. It is the People's will enacted through the president in which they are serving. If they can't do that, they need to resign or be fired.

If you're afraid of civil servants telling the public what this administration is doing then you shouldn't be doing it.

Trump is a ******* liar and I doubt he really has all that much knowledge of what he's actually doing. They're keeping his old ass occupied with decorating the Oval Office and building renovations.

And even if he did know what he was doing, no one actually believes most of the shit he's saying. If everyone knew what they were doing, you wouldn't be so scared about civil servants spilling the beans. It wouldn't matter. But you are scared. You're terrified.

I can tell why you want to suppress information from this administration. You're afraid that people will learn how ******* terrible these guys are.

Your useless opinion is noted.

He's doing what he said he was going to do, what I voted for him to do.

No information is being suppressed, unlike Dems hiding Biden's decline for a few years.

Of course information is being suppressed. You've been posting relentlessly about how you want to censor government workers.

We know you don't care, but not everyone is owned by Trump like you are.

The "workers" are trying to dictate policy when the whole point of a neutral civil service is for them to not dictate policy, but simply to execute it.

You keep saying that, but all they’re doing is providing the American people with their perspective.

How does that mean they’re dictating policy?

No, they are attempting to usurp the legal authority of the elected President of the United States.

They can do that without being executive branch employees if they feel they need to do so.

FEMA Suspends Staff Who Signed a Letter Criticizing Trump

The Federal Emergency Management Agency on Tuesday suspended around 30 employees after those workers wrote to Congress warning that the Trump administration had gutted the nation’s ability to handle hurricanes, floods and other extreme weather disasters.

Of the 182 FEMA employees who signed the letter to Congress, 36 attached their names, while the rest withheld their identities for fear of retaliation.

Those who used their names received emails on Tuesday night saying they had been placed on paid administrative leave “effective immediately, and continuing until further notice,” according to copies of the emails reviewed by The New York Times.

The emails did not provide a reason for the decision. Representatives for FEMA did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

I very much hope what happened to these FEMA employees, and what happened to the three star general, Jeffrey Kruse, who wrote a report detailing the damage to Iranian nuclear facilities in contradiction of trump's hyperbolic characterization (it was a lie), does not have the desired effect.

I hope it does not intimidate employees of the government, or any person really, from speaking the truth. The truth being this government's mortal enemy. But I fear it will. I fear intimidation works. When I see law firms and universities acquiescing to threats from trump.......I know it does.

What I don't know is how many people will be silenced for fear of retribution? I don't know how much will we not learn about the inner workings of our government because people are afraid of our government?
Oh, oh. Arya scared?

Again, how does a letter to Congress usurp the authority of the president?

Don’t be so ******* dramatic.

The people who are supposed to be apolitically implementing the Elected President's policy decided to publicly say they disagree with said policy, in their capacity as executors of that policy.

They can have their opinions as private citizens going forward.

And? You haven’t said anything about how that actually changes policy.

Get to the ******* point Marty.

If they say they disagree with it, it can be a concern that they will do everything in their power to try to stop it.

They simply can't be trusted with their jobs, which is to apolitically execute the policies of the elected President.

Turns out you aren’t okay with people having opinions.

Seems like you said the opposite yesterday.

They are using their positions to detract from the elected President's legal policies.

That breaks the rules for the supposedly apolitical civil service, and they should lose their jobs.

But you have no evidence that they aren’t executing the policies.

So you’re worried that Trump may look bad.

**** your feelings.

I'm concerned they will sabotage his valid policies, many of which I voted for.

I didn't vote for 30 fucktard civil servants to become political when their entire reason to exist is to be apolitical.
