What will make the GOP base understand their party has problems?

Odd title for a thread considering what's been going on in this country.

The republicans just elected, as president, one of only 3 outsiders in a 16 person primary that included a Bush (brother and son of 2 of the last 4 presidents), and the only person in the primaries (besides maybe Ted Cruz) to which the republican party leadership (not to mention every living republican president and presidential nominee!) was all but unanimously opposed.

Clearly, the base is aware that something's wrong with the party. They just don't agree with your particular assessment.

How about, what will make the democrat base understand that not everybody agrees with their interpretation of reality? As soon as you can wrap your mind around the fact that your personal perception of the facts is neither universal nor infallible, other peoples' opinions will start making WAY more sense.

Think about it. Let's start with Bush.

The deficit creating Bush tax cuts costing 3 trillion,the start of the great deficit.

The Iraq war based on lies costing trillions more with tens of thousands dead and maimed. The trillions it costs into the future taking care of all the maimed from Iraq.

The Great Recession with trillions in lost wealth.

A party whose leaders said, even before the next president was sworn in, they would work to ruin his presidency. No matter how it hurt the country.

Now we have Donald Trump as president.

A man who walked away from America's place making us the former world leader.

Subsidies for healthcare lost. At the end of the year millions will no longer have healthcare.

Tax cuts for billionaires and corporations at a time when corporations were flush with cash costing us trillions in revenue.

The Russian scandal. Congress voted for sanctions against Russia after they attacked the foundation of our democracy and Trump refuses to implement the sanctions thereby protecting Russia and doing nothing to make our Democratic process safe.

We have Nazi marches.

Alt Right.

Voting rights attacked.

An entire city with a hundred thousand people poisoned.

Voter suppression.

And then you have the personal embarrassments that have made news all over the world.

Porn stars

Thousands of lies

Fights with foreign leaders

Boasting of Sexual Assault

Miss Teen contestants complaining of being watched while undressing

Indictments

Guilty pleas

Threat of nuclear war

Where does it end? Donald Trump has only been president for one year. The GOP have been in charge of both houses for years.

What is it the GOP is doing? How are they expecting a "better country"? What is all this building towards? What's the goal? Make America Great Again? How is this making America great?

Because we have 6 million unfilled jobs? We've had that for the last couple of years.

The Stock Market Value has been going up since 2010.

Unemployment has been going down since 2010.

More illegal Mexican immigrants have been leaving than coming here for years.

I know USMB Republicans will try to pick something out and say it's not true, but there's so much.

So what is it? How are Republicans making America great again? By ending gay marriage? Women's rights? Ending healthcare? What? What the hell is going on?
