The Pro game is a lot different than amateur wrestling, that's for sure. And there seems to be a lot more showmanship in Pro Wrestling as well.

Pro Rasslin is a tough business. They do have to be in top physical shape to take the punishment they get put through. It is fun entertainment to see a live event. They do some amazing acrobatics and kids love it. I was told in some matches they do what they call ''shoot'' were its unscripted but the biggest outfit run by Vince McMahon will not allow it.

My dad trained us boys (six of us) to wrestle; never did it in a gym. He was from Eastern Europe and very good in his day (according to the uncles). No punching at all though I did train a bit with my younger brother in boxing. He quit that when he nearly killed someone in the ring. Golden Gloves. He was damn fast.

My cousin Jesse who grew up in the Bronx was a Golden Gloves boxer and also
into kung fu in the 70's, joined the Guardian Angels then joined the Marines.....retired in Florida now.
Back in the day his legs were like tree trunks and he could just walk up to a dude,
and hold a side kick over his head or do some fancy nunchaku shit and most of them walked.

The avg person had no idea about the insane injuries you get in pro wrestling

I imagine in real wrestling that all the injuries happen in the stand up . Very easy to torque a knee that gets bent the wrong way
