What to expect on Super Tuesday?

This is my first time really paying attention to the primaries ever, how many delegates do they need? Or how does this work?
Also will the person who wins tomorrow be the nominee?

Thank you~

It's basically a wet dream for pundits and TV talking heads. As the Bard called it, "Much ado about nothing".

Nominees get nominated at the conventions. All this pre-stuff is about as interesting as watching a football draft.

Wouldn't go that far...

True, early contests such as Iowa and NH are in essence meaningless.

And true, both major parties are private entitles in theory not bound by the election results, and in theory at liberty to nominate whomever they wish regardless the election results – again, in theory.

Snag is, the states elect presidents, not the voters; where a given candidate needs the states' political organizations to have any chance to win the GE – Obama's brilliant re-election strategy in Ohio being one excellent example.

Indeed, Obama's re-election campaign is a masterful example of how to re-elect an unpopular president – or candidate; a strategy Clinton will undoubtedly follow if she becomes the nominee.

Everyone can take a break from TV for the next several months. Here are the Cliff Notes, in advance. The GOP nominates one of many nut cases. The democrats nominate Clinton. The general election is held, and the republicans lose even worse than they did with Romney and, before that, with Palin. The republicans blame the RINOS, and vow to nominate someone that is even closer to their core beliefs, but, by then David Duke will be imprisoned, or dead.

12 states in play.
Texas a squeaker by 5 points or less COULD go Cruz.
Latest polls have Cruz up by 4.7 % with a +/- of 3%
Arkansas Another squeaker polls have Cruz up by 10 same +/-

Trump takes the other 10.
