Illegal immigration has been a problem for years. Remember, Ronnie the Reagan signed the Immigraton Reform and Control Act in 1982 - How did that work out for you. And Lou Dobbs, the conservatives boy toy on CNN complained about 'illegals' all during the Bush Administration, including the six years the R's held the Senate and the House.

I don't suggest that liberals or progressives have answers to the many problems facing our nation, I do assert that conservatives don't have answers and can't even formulate questions. All conservatives seem able to do is whine, complain, cry, and blame liberals for all of our problems, as you did in blaming liberals for the lack of a comprehensive immigration policy - and of course conservatives claim that cutting taxes is the panacea for our economic woes as well as everything else.

What's next? We inch forward. Any reading of history has to temper the liberal hope for a more sane world. Change comes slow, folks, and often not at all, reactionary politics is what republicans do best, they excel at it as given the reigns of power they are a lost breed.
