Minimum wage has negatively distorted economies, unions are disastrous, safety is important, health care is important hence why it's better in the UK, it's easy to give benefits and hard to take them away but everyone should by law experience self employment for 5 years after leaving school so there wouldn't be so many entitled arsehole employees in the workplace.

Tell me how someone got poor because someone got wealthy? I would like one of the anti-wealthy to explain their logic.

The marketplace does that. They are going to pay what the job market demands. Glassdoor.com also has salary comparisons by area and have done that since before I retired over ten years ago.

You don't have to (and should really never try!) to legislate a Minimum Wage...that's something that will take care of itself and always has. Competition means that good employees are sought after and paid a higher wage. What you see as "compromise" is simply Government attempting to be "fair" (and I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say they mean well) yet in doing so they end up intruding on a free market system that regulates itself and that intrusion almost always gives negative results.

Employees get a paycheck and they receive that paycheck whether the company is making a profit or it isn't. The investors that risked capital to finance that company receive dividends if the company shows a profit. If it doesn't...then they don't make a thing. I hate to break this to you, Winger but very few workers start their careers "educated" to do the job they'll be doing! There is almost always a training period during which the business is generally paying two people to do one job because the "trainee" needs to be taught how to do the job by first watching the trainer do it and then by having them watch as they do it! When I had a trainee? I seldom was making a profit off of them. It was costing me money. Money that I understood had to be spent if I wanted a competent staff but money that was spent without a guarantee that the trainee would work out.
