What is the Mark of The Beast?

Is it mark or mask. I think it was possibly a misspelling in the English translations.

You will not be able to buy or sell without wearing the mark.

You will not be able to buy or sell without wearing the mask.

Which one sounds the most realistic?

This is the Mark of the Beast. It wasn't voluntary.

Apparently, you aren't that familiar with theology. The antichrist will force everyone to get "666" tattooed on their foreheads according to the Bible.. It has nothing to do with coins.

Amazing how everyone tries to interpret the mark extra-biblically. Its description and purpose is already mentioned in the Bible (Ex 13:9, 16).

The more immediate context is generally the more apt context.

Actually, antichrist is not mentioned in Revelation, where the mark of the beast is mentioned.

And everyone doesn't mean everyone. Everyone means Jews. Or Israelites. The Bible was written by, for, and about Israel.

That crap comes from Cyrus Scofield and the Darbyites... promoted by the Baptists and Hal Lindsey.

Everybody in the Roman empire. It wasn't voluntary.

The currency of Ancient Roman in summary
Ancient Rome was a huge empire which stretched over three continents at its height, and thus there was extensive trading going on, not just with other countries and empires but also between different regions of the Roman Empire itself. Rome was nicely situated geographically and along with strategically important trade routes of the Mediterranean Sea and had a virtual monopoly over the regional trading and finances. The currency of Rome we have now learned mainly consisted of gold and silver coins which were minted under the guidance of the special committees constituted by the government. The practice of displaying the portraits of the emperors began with the establishment of the Roman Empire in 27 BC.

This is irrelevant. It says nothing about a mark or a beast.

If you're a Preterist, you should know that Rome, a foreign aggressor, would have come from the sea, or the wilderness. Judea, the home-grown aggressor, is the one that came from the land, or the earth; Judea is the one that required the mark in order to buy or sell (Rv 13:11, 16-17).

You know in the war, people died by the thousands. Body upon body lay rotting in the streets. Allegiance to the Judean hierarchy was the hope of eating and surviving.

I know the beast from the sea is Rome. Both Herod Agrippa and Pilate were answerable to Rome.

The Jews were pretty split.. The Herodians, Essenes, Pharisees, Saducees, Zealots and Sicarri fought each other and the Romans. Herod's granddaughter Beatrice was Titus' mistress.

Well, the idea that the mark of the beast is a Roman coin suggests that Rome is the beast that controlled commerce inside Jerusalem.

Rome controlled commerce in and out of the city, to be sure; outside the city, Romans continued to supply their troops and keep them fed and battle-ready while the Jewish military and civilians suffered inside.

Hardship within the city didn’t impact the rebels nearly as severely as it affected the Jewish civilians. While a “mark” on the hand or forehead was not an actual mark but traditionally was rather a public show of allegiance, such as to God (
Ex 13:9, 16), in the Apocalypse, it indicated allegiance to the beast. The ability to buy and sell remained the province and privilege of the rebels who took control of and plundered the city’s treasury, and after the Zealots had robbed the people of their food, they burned storehouses and food stocks out of vindictiveness. Allegiance to the Judean hierarchy was the hope of eating and surviving.

Roman coins, on the other hand, said nothing about a beast.

Are you talking about the Roman army under Vespasian in Syria? There weren't many Roman soldiers staying at Fortress Antonia. Lots of foreign nationals served in the Roman army because they became Roman citizens by doing so.

Oh no.. The Roman coins had the head of the Caesar from about 25 BC and the Jews were very offended by the likeness on the coins. Remember when they tried to trick Jesus and he said, "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's..."

Not the Jewish hierarchy so much. At least not when driven by their authoritarian agendas.

We have no king but Caesar.

If you understood theology, you would know that a character by the name of Nicolae Carpathia is going to coming to rule the world as Anti-Christ according to the prophecies. Carpathia is going to require everyone in the world to get his mark, which will be a red branding of the official number of Satan, "666" on their foreheads.

If you don't do it, he will kill you, but if you do have the number, you go straight to hell, no questions asked, when Jesus come
back.

Mark of the Beast is historical not futuristic.

Nicolae Carpathia - Wikipedia
Nicolae Jetty Carpathia is a fictional character and the primary antagonist in the Left Behind book series written by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. Within the series, Carpathia is the Antichrist, and leader of the Global Community, a world government which he ultimately marshals against the followers of Jesus Christ.
Never has a poster been so wrong about so much.

The Mark of The Beast is prophesy. Since when has the entire world been required to take a mark, or digital tattoo in order to be able to buy or sell. The closest the world has ever gotten to that is these illegal and immoral mask mandates.

Only to people like Hal Lindsey and Tim Lahaye. Its history. The mark of the beast was the emperor's head engraved on Roman coin. The Jews hated it but they couldn't buy or sell without it.
You are one goofy misguided and uniformed poster. The world "Mark" is meant as a physical mark.

This has never happened in history, but it will happen in the end times. And you, being a non believer, heretic and blasphemer most assuredly will accept the mark of the beast and worship The AntiChrist.

BTW, another word for you is alah in the Hebrew which means cursed.

The word "Mark" in Revelation's "the Mark of the Beast" is the Greek word "charagma" (Strong's G5480)."Charagma" is a badge of service, or an etching, such as an etched metallic badge (or perhaps an ID card).Throughout the history of mankind, A BADGE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A SYMBOL OF SERVITUDE. If you've been brainwashed into thinking of a badge as a symbol of authority, you have it backwards.

Mark:

In the King James Version this word is used 22 times as a noun and 26 times as a predicate. In the former case it is represented by 5 Hebrew and 3 Greek words; in the latter by 11 Hebrew and 2 Greek words. As a noun it is purely a physical term, gaining almost a technical significance from the "mark" put upon Cain (Genesis 4:15 the King James Version)

Can someone out there explain, what is the Mark of the Beast? Your thoughts.

According to revelation the beast has a number associated with the name of a man, 666.

The only time in the entire bible that the number 666 is mentioned in reference to a specific man is when describing Solomons yearly stipend of 666 talents of gold (25 tons) taken from the temple treasury yearly not to mention tolls tributes taxes and levies fleeced from the population daily.

The mark of the beast is on the forehead and the hand. This relates to the bizarre practice of tefillin , a box on the forehead containing scripture and a leather strap wrapped around the forearm and hand.

The tefillin is the mark of the faithful, scripture (instruction from God) supposedly being the thing foremost on the mind. Every action is preceded by a thought and so that which is foremost on the mind inextricably binds the hand to one's actions.

It follows then that the mark of the beast is the perversity of any false religious belief foremost on the mind, but specifically temple worship, a fancy schmancy slaughterhouse made by human hands, (being foremost thing on the mind) which consequently results in the many evil things done in the name of every fucked up religion.

Anyone here who professes a desire to rebuild the temple, and takes action to bring that about, bears the mark of the beast on the forehead, and hand. Anyone here who supports the papal perversions of a church that worships a trinity and celebrates the "sacrificial" torture and death of Jesus, and persecutes unbelievers, bears the mark of the beast on their forehead and hand. Anyone who professes that Mohammed was the fulfillment of the second coming of the messiah, the last visitation, and persecutes unbelievers, bears the mark of the beast on their forehead and hand.

The objective observer with eyes that see will see that without repentance, complete change, that mark is indelible.

No one is going to listen to a blind man that teaches heresies, and blasphemies. I suggest you get to an exorcist and have those demons cast out of you in the name of the one true and living God, and His Son, God Incarnate, God With Us, Yeshua, Immanuel, Jesus Christ, who is coming again first to take His Church, and then in Wrath and Judgment on an unbelieving rebellious world.

No. Research the perverse children of religion and politics, death and hades. Used in egypt, borrowed by solomon and then rome through the establishment of the papal church and in every nation worldwide through the magical arts, sorcery, what is now know as mind control, brainwashing, re, MK-Ultra.

I bet you would find it easier to crap in your own pants on purpose than to even consider that you have been misled, indoctrinated, toilet trained to profess to believe in the absurd since birth
