Fetuses aren't people.

By that logic, a newborn isn't a person either. Because just like a fetus, it cannot survive without sustenance from the mother. Should we simply kill the newborn using that logic? A newborn easily meets the same criteria an unborn child does.

Actually, a newborn can survive without it's mother, as long as SOMEONE feeds it eventually.
Or you can last for months without your government disability check (smirk!)
As opposed to a fetus, which dies within seconds of being separated from the womb.
