What is feminism today?

I don't think that the tax system was ever set up to allow individual's to decide where "their" tax dollars would be spent. That is why we have a representative government. Also, our form of government was designed to use those funds for the collective good--not individual.
If You Don't Demand This Right, You Have No Right to Complain

It would be an improvement if on our income-tax forms, we could determine in what Department our taxes would be spent, allotting percentages to each. So the military would get all its money from taxpayers who are pro-defense and the EPA would be funded by those who were fond of spotted owls, jungle growth, and banning automobiles.

Are you actually suggesting that people that want less money spent (but money still spent) on defense aren't "pro-defense"? LOL!

Women should should be able to choose any career they want. End of story, brainwashed functional sexist bigot lol. Transgenders are weakened so much by the drugs they are legally have to do. They are not taking over anything. Sports are irrelevant lol. Everything you people know is wrong it's so stupid. Change the damn channel, your propaganda is a disgrace so you believe the rich are job producers who pay a fair amount in taxes.
Birth-Class Supremacists, a Term Forbidden by Those Who Control All Debates

Which rich do you mean? The ones who work for their money (bourgeois) or the ones who inherit-without-merit (guillotine fodder)?

You're trying to hide something if you classify entirely different people in the same set.

Except that is contrary to the representative form of government that the founders foresaw for our republic.

I'll go with socialism as known everywhere in the world outside the English speaking savage capitalism brainwash. In other words, fair capitalism with a living wage healthcare daycare paid parentally cheap college and training great infrastructure and vacations and mainly taxing the rich. Change the channel. Rupert Murdoch and Joe Rogan etc are are garbage.
Bait on the Hook

The You're-a-peein' governments granted all those economic benefits so they could get away with pushing your decadent upper-class agenda on sexual preference, immigration, primitive and superstitious Environmentalist tyranny, and anti-Americanism.

You aren't smart enough to pull off that sort of lie, toots.

Your loyalties are obvious.

LOL!!! ^^^ THIS ^^^ who thinks the election was stolen AND donny isn't gonna go down in flames for his big lie!!!!

ticky tock snoops.

Actually that kind of echos my thoughts.

At one time we HAD to remove those differences because they barred us from autonomy and equality. It might be now is the time to relent on that and respect other choices women make.

One thing though, that people of my mother's generation had to deal with - the loss of identity (she was unable to establish independent credit with out her husband's signature) and what happens when the husband divorces her or dies? She's been out of the job market, lost skills, connections etc. That was a real trap.
Indeed.
The movie "Iron Jawed Angels" is instructive.
The ultimate Feminist movie about the 19th Amendment, starring Hilary Swank as Alice Paul, ...Anjelica Huston, Frances O'Connor, Patrick Dempsey etc.
Every woman in America should vote, if only to honour the courage and sacrifice of the feminist women who've gone before.

Alice Paul, when campaigning, addressing a factory of women workers:
"36 woman burned to death in a factory fire last month, where's your fire escape?"
"A vote is a fire escape."
"Laws are made by elected officials, nobody hears you!".

‘Night of terror’: The suffragists who were beaten and tortured for seeking the vote

The women were clubbed, beaten and tortured by the guards at the Occoquan Workhouse. The 33 suffragists from the National Woman’s Party had been arrested Nov. 10, 1917, while picketing outside the White House for the right to vote.

The male guards at the Northern Virginia prison manacled the party’s co-founder Lucy Burns by her hands to the bars above her cell and forced her to stand all night. Dorothy Day, who would later establish the Catholic Worker houses, had her arm twisted behind her back and was slammed twice over the back of an iron bench.
The guards threw suffragist Dora Lewis into a dark cell and smashed her head against an iron bed, knocking her out. Lewis’s cellmate, Alice Cosu, believing Lewis dead, suffered a heart attack and was denied medical care until the next morning.

The suffragists dubbed their treatment Nov. 14, 1917, as the “Night of Terror,” and it helped galvanize public support of the suffrage movement.

Feminism today?

Many women have tattooed bodies to some degree, drink beer out of bottles and cans, have puffed up lips that make them look like ducks or fish, use profanity every *second* word, act like exalted
goddesses, go on free dinner dates and look at their phones all the time...totally ignoring the guy
(who is paying).
Feminists have mostly discarded nice one-piece swimsuits in favour of "might as well be wearing nothing at all" ones.
Many now wear skin tight exercise wear/tights to the mall instead of proper clothes.
Some women today make false allegations against men.

Sex and the City women were rejecting suitors because of the belts they were wearing.
Fickle is taught on tv.

One might wonder where a young man of today could find an honest, well-mannered, well-groomed, profanity-free, tattoo-free, puffed up lips free, young woman who drinks lemonade out of a glass, wears a nice one-piece swimsuit, leaves her phone switched off and in her handbag on a dinner date, and wears proper clothes to the mall.

My attitude towards feminism is similar to the one I hold in other regards.

A person's idedentity should not be used to hold them back, but neither should it be used as a vehicle for their advancement.

Feminism is just a sub set of humanism, and as long as it seeks actual equality , it is a noble thing. It's when it crosses that line as to engender privilege that it becomes bothersome.
