We changed medicare so that after 79 it only covers basic treatment for falls and infections and hospice care. No chemo. No dialysis. No prescription drugs that off-set bad life choices.

AND --

In order to qualify you must have End Of Life instructions on file with your doctor and hospital.

These End of Life instructions could be coded to band you wear on your wrist. But you must have them.

Let's call this the Put Them On An Ice Floe Plan. hazlCare, for short.

What if we just have chips implanted in our brains so that the Government can just "turn us off" when we are no longer of use?

That would be called the British Health Care system.

Liverpool Pathway baby. And you get bonuses for offing patients. True story.

BINGO!

The Nut needs to add the proviso that Food and Water will be withheld if one is hospitalized.

The best is you are facing probably the most unlikely patients to die voluntarily to give you bed space.

You first kid. I'm sticking around. :eusa_angel:

Let Obama know as he loves to change healthcare laws on a moments notice.

Why? Why should we deem who lives or dies and when. Why is that your business?

As far as "No prescription drugs that off-set bad life choices".

This means Obama if he were to get ill at the age of 75 and needed ongoing treatment for lung cancer or heart disease, we won't treat him because he smoked dope, cigarettes and did coke AKA bad life choices, right?

Who are you to judge anyone's life choices and since when did the elderly become expendable? Perhaps your mom and or Dad ( if still alive) would like to live longer than 79 years of age? My grandpa is turning 94 soon and still enjoys his live with the aid of a pacemaker.

Give me your reason for the age you chose? Why not 29? 39? Why not say one has lived a full life at 50? You sound like this Brit:

Old people with dementia have a duty to die and should be pushed towards death, says Baroness Warnock

Elderly people with dementia are 'wasting' the lives of those who have to care for them, one of the country's most influential experts on medical ethics said yesterday

Old people with dementia have a duty to die and should be pushed towards death, says Baroness Warnock | Mail Online

Wasting lives, eh? Sounds like the same argument could be made for a mom or dad who decided their child is 'wasting' their life in having to change diapers and pay for schooling. Ugg what a disgusting concept!

What makes me shake my head is, there is no preventative assistance. If people were taken care of at the first signs of problems, there would be less spent in taking care of that person once it is full blown. Like a colonoscopy...or a mammogram, for example. The local medical assistance program where I live does NOT pay for mamms or colonoscropies. I think that is stupid because what if it is something that can be cured or taken care BEFORE it turns cancerous?

Or am I off on another topic within this topic? If so, sorry.

Oh, just fuck off you collectivist piece of shit. "Progressives" are all alike, kill, kill, kill, kill.

Isn't there enough death in the world without having you asshats add to the ledger.

Older people tend to be conservative.

Why would anyone think, even for a minute, that Obama and his ilk might want to prolong the lives of those who see through their socialistic schemes?

Only if they're not strapped to a gurney to prevent them from getting hydrated.

What you are talking about is pre-paid medical, not insurance for the unforeseen.

Bad brakes could contribute to you crashing your car. Would you give a moment's though to trying to bill your auto insurance for getting a brake job?

I really hope that you found some stray policy that is listed that way. It would have to be really cheap, but some people might take it.

cuz if this is what you would really like to see happen, you are truly evil

Oh, hey, and while we're at it, we could eliminate care for those who knowingly engage in risky behavior...like having sex without birth control, homosexual activities without a condom, ingesting illegal drugs...
