What I'd like to see Re: Ukraine/Russia

Ah, you respect the borders of the 1990s so much. Well, let's divide Germany and unite the Czech Republic and Slovakia, according to 1990. And don't forget about Yugoslavia either. I won't even mention the USSR.
Thats crazy illogic

The problem with your map is that the boundaries for Ukraine were set by international agreement in the 1990’s after the breakup of the Soviet Union

No, the problem is that those boundaries were flawed, in that they left large chunks of Russia inside Ukraine.

Incidentally, I don't think that Ukraine should return to its 1922 Borders (which would mean returning land to both Poland and Russia; maybe Slovakia as well). I do believe that Luhansk, Donetsk, and Crimea, which are ethnically Russian, should be returned to Russia.

Putin is a complete asshole, but he has more of a point than that racist Cinnabon girl you defended in another thread. He actually HAS a legitimate issue.

Russia agreed to the boundaries

And dont assume that no Ukraines were trapped inside the new russia

It works both ways you know

Actually, very few.

We are talking about 18% of the population of Ukraine in 2014 being Ethnic Russian.

Which they were fine with as long as they had a voice in politics. That came to an end when the EU and Obama engineered a coup against the legitimately elected President they supported.

(Yes, I am VERY critical of Obama on this one.)

Trump is wrong on 99% of everything, but on this one, like a broken clock that is right twice a day, he has a point. There's no good reason to drag this war out, and territorial concessions will have to be made.

Sadly, he lacks the political skill to get any of it done.

Yeah, we got riots in the streets, the economy is swirling the bowl... but All Praise Cheeto Hitler.

Tell me you are in a cult without telling me you are in a cult.
The streets are filled with rioting communists and illegal aliens waving foreign flags

And the economy is doing ok

Doing fine, eh?

Nice try, but your own link confirms there no general slowdown of the economy forcing Verizon to lay off workers

“In the last quarter alone, the company lost 7,000 postpaid customers, while rivals T-Mobile and AT&T made significant gains.”

Your lies are easy to spot

Wow, did you skim over that to find some nugget of hope?

Guy, Verizon laid of 13,000 people. AT&T and T-Mobile aren't hiring them.

The economy is in the shitter, thanks to Trump. It will only get worse.

Who says AT&T and T-Mobil are not hiring?

You just make up “facts” on the fly to fit your argument that you cant document

What a life!

Guy, nobody is hiring at this point. If you are unclear on this point, try sending out some resumes and seeing how few responses you get back.

November posted a net loss of 25,000 jobs.

BLS isn't even publishing figures anymore because they are afraid Trump will fire them.

Large companies are shedding white collar jobs for various reasons, including but not exclusively because of AI

But only people who are too lazy to work are jobless thanks to ICE rounding up illegal aliens and deporting them

The Russia-Ukraine situation is characterized by the following factors:
  1. Russia started the war with an unprovoked attack and its continuing pursuit of these hostilities is a "war crime."
  2. The entire world agrees that raw aggression should never be allowed to change sovereign borders.
  3. Russia is being dealt massive blows every day, both in infrastructure and troop losses (three cheers for the Ukrainians), but
  4. Russia is ruled by an egomaniacal tyrant who is not influenced by these losses, and
  5. The Russian mentality is such that Putin's disaster has not significantly harmed his popularity.
  6. The USA and the EU have the resources to CRUSH Russia in every way, but
  7. They are both unwilling to risk Putin's use of nuclear weapons, even knowing that such deployment would be a Three-Stooges-type fiasco - everything Russia manufactures is unreliable junk.
  8. Ukraine, prior to this conflagration, was known to be one of the most corrupt governments on earth, and there is no good reason to believe that has changed, even though their leader seems to be a sterling fellow.
  9. Trump's objective is to stop the carnage and position the U.S. for taking economic advantage of the rebuilding of Ukraine after the war. But Trump's position ignores #2 above, which many find appalling. Indeed, they see it as a confirmation that Trump is Putin's "stooge" (choose another word if you like).
  10. Unknown to many (but pointed out by me earlier in this forum), the EU just declared economic "war" on Russia by formalizing the freezing of Russian assets in Europe, and figuratively placing them in trust for the rebuilding to Ukraine - "reparations," if you will.

Bottom line: Someone needs to take out Putin, in the same way that the natural gas pipeline ("Nordstream II"?) was taken out a few years ago. Nobody knows who done it, but everyone is happy it was done.

Guy, 2025 has hit the worst number of layoffs since the Covid Recession.

And Trump won't be able to blame this one on the Chinese.

Now we are just repeating ourselves

Time will tell which of us is right

Most of Chinese industry sits below a huge dam. Couple of MOAB's dropped behind it should be sufficient to destroy all that industry.
A MOAB would do nothing to a dam. They are used to overpressure cave and underground facilities. Please learn your weapons before citing their possible employment.
