I've never been able to figure out why the looney liberals called the descriptive word "Oriental" racist and basically had it its use banned? ...

What I mean by "Oriental" are China, and nations who learned civilization from China. These are Korea, Japan, and Vietnam. I do not use the word in a derogatory way. I like Orientals.

The diversity we SHOULD be seeking is the diversity of individuals rather than groups.

As it exists now, the "diversity" crowd allows for the very LEAST degree of diversity for the individual.

Those who claim do want diversity do not like diversity of opinion. They think expressing the assertions of heriditarianism and race realism is hate speech, and they want hate speech to be outlawed.

The Harvard Crimson claims to desire diversity. When Claudine Gay was chosen as the next President of Harvard, writers for The Harvard Crimson praised the decision. The comment sections filled up with comments claiming that Gay was an unqualified beneficiary of affirmative action. Two days later, all the negative comments had been removed.

I like Orientals a lot. I also use the word "Negro." I am not supposed to use that word either, but Martin Luther King used if fifteen times in his "I have a dream" speech, so I think it should be permitted.

Now we are supposed to use the term "African American." I have never heard a Negro refer to himself as an African American. If I used it in the presence of a Negro he would think I was being hoity toity.

A word that should become prohibited is the word "racist." That word is not used to advance the dialogue on race President Clinton called for, and which we need to have. It is used to suppress that dialogue.

Diversity when if comes from giving everyone equal opportunity based on merit is fine. Diversity simply for the sake of diversity is problematic.

Well, I think that merit for jobs is no longer and NEVER was the sole criterion for jobs.

In the old days when this was a predominately Caucasian nation, many Caucasians got jobs even though they were NOT necessarily the most competent.
As the saying goes: "It's not what you know. It's who knows you."

This is now 2023. The United States is rapidly becoming an African American and Hispanic American-majority nation. (It will soon resemble Los Angeles, where Caucasians are now barely 30%.)

Look at the many appointees in the current Cabinet. No need to name names, but many of them are hardly the most competent. They were appointed to make a statement: Government and corporate employees should reflect the American population in terms of ethnicity and gender and sexuality.

In the coming decades, this trend will only accelerate.

That is not true for all liberals. I am liberal on economic and environmental issues. I vote Democrat.

It has become true for too many liberals. From the McCarthy Era to when the the War in Vietnam became unpopular it was dangerous in the United States to advocate socialism, criticize capitalism, or to say anything good about any Communist China.

Now it is dangerous to draw attention to the connections between gene alleles, intelligence, crime, and race.

Civilization will continue to thrive in Eastern Europe and the Far East, although Russia and China need to adopt democratic governments first.

Civilizations thrive when they are made up of intelligent, law abiding, and monogamous people. Intelligence, obedience to the law, and monogamy can be found among people of each of the races, although not in the same proportions.

As Western civilization declines I predict the rise of tribes in Western countries. Tribes will begin as armed militias of friends and relatives who join together to protect their lives and property from roving gangs of criminals, to educate their young, and to care for their old people.

Historically tribes have existed in areas where governments did not exist, or where they were incompetent.

I used to be a client of the Seattle Indian Health Board and I never met a "Native American".

I might possibly have American Indian blood. All the American Indians I ever talked to told me they can see it. My family history suggests it.

The math does not work. There never will be equal representation in all jobs. Why is that, because we are not numerically equal.

Let's say that there are 1000 people in the country, white and blacks (just for this example and simplicity). And there are only 10 jobs for entire population. In a perfect scenario there would be 70 whites and 30 blacks represented for job. That's equality.

Today's narrative says that there should be equal representation regardless of ability, desire, capability, education, etc. But how do we have equal representation when the racial diversity isn't equal in numbers?

If equality was attempted you would have 50 whites and 50 blacks represented for the first 6 jobs. 300 whites and 300 black. The remaining 4 jobs would be ALL WHITE. But the problem we are seeing is that blacks would point out the racial disparity in the remaining 4 jobs as being all white. How do you fix it if you don't pull from the other 6 equally represented jobs. And thus the fallacy in the argument of representation.

I enjoy dining at ethnic restaurants, shopping at ethnic stores, and attending ethnic festivals. Those who do not enjoy that sort of things should not be pressured to experience it.

I like immigrants. I have been in love with a few. Those who prefer to date and marry Americans should be encouraged to do so.

If you visit the office building of a leading corporation, like Microsoft, you will see that many of the employees were born in other countries, and speak English as a second language. Nevertheless, they speak it fluently.

Winning corporations do not have outreach programs to attract a work force that "looks like America." (Corporations who were extorted to have programs like that following the George Floyd riots are phasing them out along with the jobs of those hired because of them.)

Leading corporations hire the most capable professionals and managers in the world and pay them what they need to pay them in order to attract them.

I believe that diversity is only acceptable when there is no diversity of merit. In the past in the United States many corporations only hired white male Gentiles for well paying jobs. These missed talented people, especially Jews and Orientals.

I do not believe that any organization benefits by lowering standards to hire politically favored minorities. I believe that corporations that hire on the basis of merit, qualifications, and excellence out perform those who try to achieve diversity, equity, and inclusion.

I believe a company's workforce should mirror the population of the country it is located in. Therefore, a company in the USA should have a workforce that is 15% African-American. 15% of CEOs should be African-American. Also, 15% of billionaires should be African-American.
By the same token, since Whites are about 65% to 70% of the US population, they should be 65% to 70% of the prison inmates in our prisons.

Yes. I have noticed it too.

For an upper middle class liberal, diversity means a Chinese American family living next door, where the son attends MIT, and the daughter studies classical ballet. It means dining in Ethiopian and Thai restaurants.

For the lower middle class whites and the working class whites those upper middle class liberals feel morally superior to, diversity means attending public schools where whites are in the minority. It means losing job opportunities to affirmative action. It means being crime victims.
