Zone1 What Age Should Kids Be Potty Trained?

Our grandson wasn't potty trained until just before he went to kindergarten, we were being lazy and put it off till last minute. his younger sister is doing it at 3. We learned our lesson

Do you mind me asking if you have custody of your grandkids or are just helping out Mom and Dad?

When I was growing up, when babies learned to walk, they were started on potty training.
As soon as they could walk to the potty and go by themselves, they were then taught how to feed themselves.
Once they learned how to feed themselves, then they were taught how to dress themselves.

But that was when parents actually gave a shit about what they popped out of their cooters.

Yes. I was 2 and completely potty-trained.

I would think by three or four years old and maybe still have diapers on at night for a while. This however is just lazy parenting. Kids need encouragement. They're never going to learn without it.

All kids are different. My kids are mid 20's now, I can't remember how their potty days went. I know my eldest was making himself ill because he wouldn't use the potty, he always wanted a nappy/diaper on, but I can't remember when that problem stopped.

Some are never potty trained, I know of one guy in charge of a really big country.......

My boys were around 2 1/2. It was all pretty stress free with both as we just encouraged their natural curiosity about the process and they adapted easily.

Did you have to redecorate the bathroom often?
