Golf club members seek $6 million from Trump as trial opens

The Republican presidential candidate bought the club for $5 million in 2012. About 60 members of the renamed Trump National Golf Club wanted to leave, but Trump wouldn't return their $35,000 to $210,000 initiation fees as Ritz-Carlton had promised, until new members joined, according to the lawsuit. Meanwhile, they were barred from the club but still charged $6,000 annual dues and $1,800 annually for food and drink, the suit said

Trump testified he tried to bargain with the members, telling them that if they didn't withdraw their deposits, he would lower their dues by 10 percent for three years and give them access to other clubs he owns, including nearby Mar-a-Lago.

''Many people - most people - jumped right on it,'' said Trump, whose son Eric operates the club. He said the people who wanted to resign were barred from the club because that ''sends a bad message'' to active members and those who resigned are ''angry people'' who ''we don't want to be in the club.''

Now if these ANGRY liberals had signed a contract to use the club for 2 years(under Ritz-Carlton), then they are obliged to continue(under Trump), until that contract is up. We will find out, once all the information gets presented.

huh?

Trump can't legally bar them from the club then, if under a contract, and taking their money, now could he?

Trump is being an ass and certainly knows nothing about customer service or honoring a contract.

Hillary is owned by the elite and the elite love war.

Conclusion: Vote Hillary if you like war.

There are lots of reasons not to vote for Clinton and the suppurating corruption she represents. Not letting her owners play with matches rates high among them.

Hillary For War!!!

Trump gets to bar you from his club because you are angry at the way he has treated you?

The reason Trump barred them from the club was because he didn't want them voicing their displeasure with other members

But in typical Trump fashion, he saw nothing wrong with still charging them for membership

Wanted to leave is not the same as being barred, you said it in your post not me. Let the information come out before you start calling names, as typical of any left wing radical nut job. Guilty until proven innocent, the liberal way. Unless you are Hillary. Double standards , go figure.

A private club has the right to decide who attends their club. Everything they paid was in their initiation agreements. They signed them. If they conduct themselves in any manner the club directors find unsatisfactory they can be barred and forfeit any dues they've paid. I find it hard to believe that the club barred them but still charged them annual fees. But then again people lie alot in lawsuits.

People who support Trump have brains that don't work well.
Any time you feel like debating Jake, and not throw out insults, I will be very glad to pit my intelligence against yours. Shall we start with a History lesson first?
The few times we have engaged you have ran away weeping. Troll me, son, and you will get smashed as always. That is as sure as the sun rising each morning. If you support Trump, your head is addled.

Is that the club Trump opened up for the first time to blacks and Jews as soon as he took it over?

So you are holding members to the terms of the contract signed with Ritz Carleton. But clearly, Ritz Carleton told them their membership fees would be refunded. Now you say that agreement is not binding?
