And the word was theos, like God, who is called Ho Theos, The God, the only living God in existence. My God.
No. The Word was God. And the Word became flesh, Jesus Christ. Emmanuel. God with us. Jesus the God/Man.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and God was the Word." (The Interlinear Bible, Hebrew-Greek-English, Jay P. Green, Sr., Hendrickson Publishers, 1985, p. 818)
(Isaiah 40:3) "The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the
way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway
for our God." Compare to:
(Matt. 3:3) "For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying,
The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight."
And who was John the Baptist preparing the way for? Jesus Christ...'the LORD', 'our God'. Both Jehovah, and Elohim. (John 1:29-30)
Also, (John 20:28) "And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord
and my God."
Also, (Titus 2:13) "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of
the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ."
Also, (Acts 20:28) "...feed the church of
God, which he hath purchased with
his own blood." Whose blood?...Christ's...God's.
Scripture is clear. Jesus Christ is God in the flesh. The God/Man.
