It's hilarious seeing Republicans going from "Wall Street are gods who create jobs" to "Wall Street is evil and have destroyed our jobs". I was just watching Donald Trump talk about how Wall Street sent millions of our jobs to China and closed over 40,000 factories. Well, I've been saying that for the last couple of years because it's true.
Republicans have demonized Government and deified Wall Street. And that's the problem.
First, Republicans have made government the problem when it's not government that's the problem. It's when Republicans are in charge of it that's the problem. Government is supposed to be in charge. Government is supposed to protect us from Wall Street excess. Instead, Republicans have helped Wall Street greed and watched millions of jobs disapear under Bush and over 40,000 factories close. That is the result.
Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump have both tried to demonize Wall Street. True, Wall Street gave president Obama more than any other politician ever received in the history of this country. And what did Obama do? Proposed legislation to reign in Wall Street recklessness.
It's like Billionaires. You have those like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet who want to help this country. Billionaires who want to see America succeed. Then you have Republican Billionaires like the Koch Brothers and Sheldon who don't give a crap about America. They just want to own more. The only thing that drives them. It's the same with Wall Street. There are those that love America and Republicans.
We need a president who actually loves this country. Trump has already divided the country even more than Republicans under Obama. America is becoming the laughing stock of the world by having this clown in our election process. But he certainly has the right to run. Because it's America. But running on policies of "make things better" and "do good" is laughable.
We need leadership and not Republicans constantly pointing fingers and demonizing. What has hurt this country for the last 40 years are Republican Policies. Policies so bad, we can name them one by one. It's difficult to find people who disagree with the policies being disastrous. Even Republicans agree which is why they try to blame their failures on Obama.
The Bush Tax cuts are not Obama's fault.
Iraq is not Obama's fault.
Factories moving to China is not Obama's fault.
Congress vowing to destroy Obama's presidency is not Obama's fault.
and so on.
