That is stupid, you ignore a scientific study because the government pumped you wit misinformation? Early on during Covid-19 we were told masking was ineffective in slowing down Covid-19, later on we were told different. The main reason is viral organisms are much smaller than bacteria, thus the virus would still pass through N95 or even surgical masks. It turned into symbolism and the myth was created, it did little if anything, that is why large indoor events were cancelled, masis didn’t help. We need to learn and move on.

Virus infections were not noted, probably because that is not what it was used for. Note the article was written pre-Covid-19.

If the surgeon had the coronavirus, the mask wouldn’t help. So what’s your point?

And if you insisted the surgeon wore a mask that stoped the migration of viral infections it would do no good as well because the webbing in the mask would have to be woven so tightly, the surgeon and staff would suffocate.

They help work for viral because they mitigate the water droplets emitted by breathing, a primary way virus travel through the air. Now, if a high enough load of the virus finds its way into YOUR mask from an infected person, you can more easily get infected. It’s SOURCE protection from a potentially infected person. Hospitals have been doing it successfully for decades…long before covid. .

This is also the reason biological labs working with these viruses used compressed air full body suits. They pressurize the air around the body so that any leak keeps the virus from entering the suit (PPE).
