The US is in the top 5% for cases/million and deaths/million. I've not claimed that Trump could stop a pandemic but there is no doubt that he could have significantly reduced the number of cases and deaths in the US if that had been his goal. He downplayed the virus, fought the states on their need for testing in the first critical 60 days and questioned the effectiveness of practically every CDC guideline to slow the spread of the virus.
