Sen. Susan Collins, the Maine Republican facing stiff competition from Democratic challenger Sara Gideon, donated to two state legislature candidates who support the bizarre conspiracy theory QAnon, Mainer was first to report Friday.

Both of the Republican candidates, Kevin Bushey and Brian Redmond, received $400 from Collins’ political action committee, Dirigo PAC, records show.

A request for comment from Collins’ office was not immediately returned.

"Panic stricken"? More like "Here we go again". The fact that there are people running for office that buy into this shit proves the republicans have lost their minds. Child sacrifice and cannibalism? You people finally hit bottom.

QAnon is an idea.

qAnon is fiction and Collins is one of the most liberal republicans in congress. Media Matters must be desperate to pull this bull crap over a $400 donation to republican candidates who are unfairly smeared by the crazy left.

I know - but it's from Collins' personal political action committee, Dirigo PAC.

Kevin Bushey and Brian Redmond, the QAnon believers supported by Collins, are both military veterans who eagerly anticipate a political bloodbath will soon erupt nationwide, ultimately leading to arrests, military trials, and “God-declared executions” for “traitors” like top Democratic politicians and donors, socialists, Planned Parenthood, and Black Lives Matter and Sunrise Movement activists.

“Given the closeness of her race, [Collins] should have been really careful about who she gives money to,” said longtime Maine political columnist Al Diamon. He said there’s “no way” the donations to Bushey and Redmond “would not be carefully vetted” by Collins and her staff.

Collins’ communication team did not respond to a request for comment.

The fact that there are people running for office that buy into this shit proves the republicans have lost their minds.

Leftists running for office have lost their minds with white privilege, the 1619 project, critical race theory, white fragility...and you complain about the right?

Maybe she is just donating small sums to other Republicans, she is smart enough to know that Q anon is a phony conspiracy person with a computer, and only the nut bags think its real. If you want to call her out about anything Its not voting for what she knows is right & voting the party line. she really is not a bad person.

From OP link:
claiming to know “nothing” about the group.
“What I do hear about it is they are very strongly against pedophilia, and I agree with that,” the president said, adding that they “fight it very hard.”
Now that's NPD. Just imagine being "against pedophilia" - now add "very strongly" - WHOA, what a high bar!
