What aren’t you getting about this virus? Zero have immunity to it. Meaning we will all get it until enough of us have it and we have herd immunity. With how contagious this is, over twice as contagious as the common flu, that number is going to be damn near 100%. Problem is, people, like you, are making this political. So instead of being real and talking about our legit options to deal with this while creating the least amount of damage, people are floating out death numbers and looking for someone on the other side of the isle to blame. There is someone to blame, on the other side of the ocean, but it doesn’t serve your immediate political needs.

Here’s the truth. There are no good ways to handle this virus. 100,000s will die from it, unless a radical new treatment is found...not likely, it’s going to hit a certain amount of the pop badly, and will be the knockout punch. Yes we have some good treatments coming, but just for some it’s not going to be enough. We need to seriously consider to stop trying to hold off the inevitable. Don’t confuse what I am saying. I don’t mean let people die. Take a month, prep as much as possible, convert hotels to hospitals for people this will hit hard but will likely recover. Staff then up with military personnel. Save the hospitals for the bad cases. And open the economy. The sooner we get herd immunity, the better. We’ll be ready for when this mutates instead of confronting it again when we’re still reeling from the first wave.

Well you kind of should be, it’s the times like these the constitution is made for. No one talks about suspending it when times are good, the founders knew that. Which is why they wanted to put a BOR into writing, just for times like these. Look at 9/11, we said bye to the 4th amendment and arguably the 3rd. All over essentially 1 really bad terror attack. A horrific attack yes, but those rights are gone permanently. That’s how easily our rights get corroded.

Well it’s not just the dems taking apart the constitution, the core of the GOP has no problem doing that too. They are using this to try to blame trump on whatever way they can which isn’t good because we need some ******* adults now. And it’s not a cooked up crises. This shit is legit. It’s not the plague and most people will be fine. But it is enough to overwhelm our healthcare system and become a really big ******* problem. My hospital is ******* nuts already and only 1-2% of the pop in the area is infected. It’s gonna be bad. I didn’t vote for trump, but at least he did travel restrictions when it counted. Bought us a month. That’s it. But a crucial month.

I want people on here to understand we need to do some drastic shit to get through this. We’re wasting time thinking staying at home 90% of the time is going to cut it. Basically the politicians of the EU and US are buying time and waiting for the shit to hit fan for all the other countries so they can say “see we tried that, now let’s try something we should’ve did months ago.” So much of the economy is interdependent. This is going to get very ugly for everyone. People still have the delusion that some people they don’t know might die from this, maybe they’ll never catch it, yadda yadda. Show me where, in the Constitution, it authorizes government to use a manufactured “state of emergencey” as an excuse to violate it. Show me whee there's any language in the Constitution that even hints at such a power.

It's not in there. By intentional design it's not in there. The great men who wrote the Constitution certainly would have anticipated that if such a power were authorized, that a corrupt government would absolutely abuse it, in exactly the same way that we are now seeing this illegitimately and illegally-usurped power being abused. They would certainly never have included any language to give legitimacy to this sort of abuse.
