Thing is that people are saying they feel they have the wrong body for what their mind is.
Are you saying they're wrong?
2000 years ago, if a man or woman was gay, they had gay sex. Some cultures openly accepted it and embraced it. Those that were gay accepted their bodies as they were but freely expressed their sexuality.
What has changed is modern medicine. Today, we can take a male who is gay and if they choose, they can transition.
Prior to modern medicine, hormone therapy, and surgery, males and females got on with who they were.
Now, modern medicine has created the possibility to transition. However, at what cost? You can't easily remove a penis and become a woman with a ton of surgery, hormone therapy, and continual maintenance. That has to weigh heavily on the individual.
And as for children, I hate that we are trying to make this okay.
There is that one Trans girl, Jazz. At 4 they started transitioning therapy. Because of this, her penis never experienced the growth during puberty.
Because of this, the doctors had very little material to use to create a vagina. Daily she is supposed to use a device to dilate her vagina or it will close up on itself.
She has also gained a lot of weight and is going through some mental issues right now.
WHy couldn't her/his parents accept that their son, at a very early age, might be gay and teach him to love his body?
