Yes I was actually there in 2009 but I did not fully grasp it and was short on time . It’s the only thing I regret not spending more time in .
The entire design of it is brilliant as you feel “ closed in” on all sides . You feel like you have zero choice where to go and it feels like a maze .
This is all symbolic .It feels like you’re closed in a tomb . The outside exhibits are remarkable with one to the 1.5 million children another one to represent all the communities destroyed. One to show the righteous gentiles who tried to help.

The saddest is the children’s one outside and you walk in and all you see is compete darkness with little lights being reflected off mirrors and each name slowly being called out
