Washington Post, NYT and More Reject Trump’s Revised Pentagon Press Policy, Citing First Amendment Rights

And why shouldn't the media get to report on the Pentagon? Are you a Nazi?
They can, they just have to do it honestly. No more of their made up bullshit where they can cover their asses with unidentified sources who told them about something someone else said they heard.

Their going to have to work now.

Come on, kid. It's all over the news.

Everyone here knows I don't play "prove water is wet" with you guys.
It took you longer to type that than it would have to type meat and potatoes of the actual policy. What specifically is your objection to the policy.

And why shouldn't the media get to report on the Pentagon? Are you a Nazi?
that's not what the policy says. The 2 major points of the new policy are

you cant access unauthorized files

Press has to be escorted into certain areas of the Pentagon.

The devil is always in the details. If they just restrict every area other than their office then that's a problem. If they mark everything as unauthorized for press then that's also a problem. That said it's shocking to me that this wasn't already the policy.

What did they make up, simp?

Any criticism of Trump or Hegseth is your definition of "bullshit".

Which the media hasn't done, simp.

Press has to be escorted into certain areas of the Pentagon.
You don't know what you are talking about. The media has never been allowed into classified areas like SCIFs.

Again....more MAGA bumpkin nonsense. The media has never been allowed into those areas.

You libs resort to sarcasm when you want to hide Trump’s accomplishments.

He’s been amazing.
87 wars! Including the ones that restarted!

Every media org except OANN has turned down the requirement. Pissing off the entire mediasphere won't be any problem I am sure.

What's the new policy? Do you know?
In a joint statement issued on Tuesday afternoon, each of the major broadcast networks including Fox News issued a statement saying it would not sign the department’s policy.

“Today, we join virtually every other news organization in declining to agree to the Pentagon’s new requirements, which would restrict journalists’ ability to keep the nation and the world informed of important national security issues,” the statement read. “The policy is without precedent and threatens core journalistic protections.”

Hegseth is tired of fat reporters

He is going to make them weigh in before they are allowed in the Pentagon

Hegseth changes Pentagon press policy: 5 takeaways

Starting on Wednesday, all but one media outlet that regularly covers the Department of Defense is set to lose access to the Pentagon.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth demanded that reporters agree by 5 p.m. Tuesday to a new policy, under which they would need to pledge to not obtain or use any unauthorized material, even if the information is unclassified — or hand over their press badges in the next 24 hours. Media outlets say this is a violation of their First Amendment rights, and nearly every news outlet has refused to sign.

and here is the reaction from the media (including FOX)

We continue to see the guidelines for a Dictatorship being installed by Trump and the members of his Cabinet

Libtard press whining cuz they can’t reveal classified info.
On the face of the issue, I do have issues with the government's order
Having said that, Nostra, you bring up a very valid point for the government's decision.
Since Obama run at being president on, there has been many leaks being exposed
by the media.
