Bleeding heart liberals talk about how we are all responsible for "the carnage" in a handful of shootings. I am going to do something way out there and suggest it was the shooters that were responsible. It was not the guns that the shooter used nor any lack of legislation against murder already on the books.

I wouldn't know. I haven't seen a FOX News broadcast in several years. I get my input from watching the actual news and avoid infotainment. Most of the :news" I get from research on the internets. That way a person can get several viewpoints on the same subject.
If you or anyone has a "favorite" source for "news" you are not thinking for yourself. You are just agreeing with the owner of your favorite news entertainment channel.
The worst kind of reporting and reporters are the ones that interview like a mother that just lost a child. Expecting a human being lost in grief is disgusting journalism. What the hell do you expect a subject like THAT to say? Will that mother or father have a reasonable perspective? Not in a million years. Yet we see THAT kind of heart wrenching journalism constantly from several main media outlets. THAT is not news. The grieving parent IS NOT NEWS. If you make your opinions from the desperate outcry from those pitiful people's grief you are not being objective. They are not being objective. How on earth could they be?
My favorite input comes from Mothers Against Drunk Drivers and the ever so present people in PINK believing that running for dollars will discover a cure for cancer. What a hoot! Those organizations don't do anything to solve their problems. They just make a handful of people at the top of these agencies very wealthy.
As for any supposed cure for cancer...if and when cancer cures occur you can bet the finders will charge a thousand dollars a pill and bleed dry anyone unfortunate enough to get that disease.
We as a nation don't have the sense to see these scams unfolding. If and when cancer is cured we had better hope that the research IS funded by the government or only a very few very wealthy Americans will ever see it's benefits.
Some problems are too big to be funded privately. Roads, highways, dams etc and probably this elusive cure for cancer has to be a group effort funded by all of us. Otherwise we will be held hostage to the few holding the rights to our ability survive. What is the chance you or I will get cancer? 1 in 10? 1 in 5? I know it is very high. With THAT much risk we as a nation have to find the cure before some company beats us to it and takes ALL of the wealth of many millions of people and lets many MORE millions die that cannot pay the toll. The transfer of wealth will be STAGGERING.
Can you imagine what our roads and travel by automobile would be like if private companies owned all of our freeways. It's already starting in Washington state. They are starting to toll the busiest freeways. Yet the REPAIR of these roadways is still the government's problem. This scam is outrageous. Our legislatures are being bought by these pirates under the guise of saving us money. AND TWO things are happening. One THEY know who is going where meaning you are giving up your privacy and secondly we are being told the money is for OUR benefit. THAT is a LIE. WE are still on the hook for new roads and the repair of the old roads. A HUGE portion of what USED to get paid in taxes to repair and build is now siphoned off to pay for your surveillance. There is little to no benefit by these tolls on our roads. How on earth did we get by without these scum in the past? You fools are electing thieves that can afford to get elected because the same people that steal your money at the toll booth elect them.
Some problems are too big to leave up to private enterprise. Lowering taxes CAN be a fool's game. There is NO free lunch. In this constant quest to pass a new law to solve the problem of the day you are being distracted by shiny objects and all the while these same knee jerk legislatures have THEIR hands in the cookie jar.
We already have laws against murder. One more law will not stop crazy people from killing. Some problems are just too big.
