Want to know if a nation is really "Democratic"? Look at their elections. That there will tell you if it is really democratic or not.

Here, I can illustrate it very simply. The elections are almost never very one-sided. The difference between the winners and losers is generally in only a few percentage points. Case in point the largest landslide in US Presidential history was FDR against Alf Landon in 1936, 60.8-36.5. That's the largest, where the winner still had less than half the percentage of the loser.

Or the largest in my lifetime, 1984 where Ronald Reagan defeated Walter Mondale 58.8-40.6. You see, those are what "landslides" look like in a real and healthy political landscape. Look back at every US election since then, no landslides. Even President Obama won his elections by no more than 7% of the electorate over either of his opponents.

Then, you can look at the elections of nations that claim to be "Democratic". And you can tell each and every time they are lying simply by looking at their election results. Russia, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, it's all really the exact same thing. They proclaim that their hand picked leader retained their office, with something like a 80% majority over their leading contender, and then they scream at how perfect their democracy is.

The last Russian Presidential Election in March of this year is a perfect example. Vladimir Putin won over Nikolay Karitonov, 88.48-4.37. President Putin gained support in every single district in Russia, not one district opposed him. That is how you can tell an election was completely and utterly faked. I don't care if you are running Jesus against Satan as President, they will not win 88-4. Those kinds of results only happen in nations that have elections that are like the game show "Who's Line Is It Anyways".

The entire world was proven in the last Russian election that the "Democracy" is only the thinnest layers of toilet paper over the same old Marxist dictatorship it had been for decades before. Oh, I do believe it was Democratic. Putin's first election in 2000 shows that, as he only got 53% of the votes in an election split 11 ways. With the Communist Party actually coming in second with 29.49% of the vote. And in every election ever since he had achieved higher and higher numbers.

That is not the sign of a real democracy, that is the sign of a dictatorship. Only idiots and children believe in election numbers like that.

All i would say is we are talking about the man who saved Russia after the carnage of Yeltsin and any other parties were either extreme or wanted to continue looting Russia like Yeltsin the majority of Russians know that and don't want a return to the bad old days, if not for Putin Russia would be a basket case exploited by foreign corporate jackals and Oligarchs, that is why that clown Navalny had very little support despite the West making him out to be Moses.
