I made this observation about how this will end last week.

Trump has until maybe the middle of/end of July before the Strategic Reserve is empty. At the point, Americans will face the same energy prices as folks in Asia, Africa and Europe. I expect what I am reading from people on this site will start to be a whole lot more introspective about if this policy is really in the interests of America, or if negotiations and inspections could have solve the problem.
