We call them terrorists, but we are the ones using our military to remove people all over the world. That's state-sponsored terrorism by any definition, and we have been doing that since the late 1800's.

Any competent military initiative to overthrow the regime in power and achieve that goal in a reasonable timeframe would have anticipated that confronting Iran's ability to control the Strait of Hormuz would have been the priority before the Pearl Harbor "little excursion" was undertaken. U.S. intelligence was well aware of that reality for decades.

Well, Iran has missiles being fired from several different areas, not to mention the Strait is on their coastline. That doesn't mean we should just let Iran build nukes and ballastic missiles which could eventually reach the US, export terrorism, threaten Israel's very existance, and murder peaceful protesters by the tens of thousands. Even their Gulf neighbors want us to finish the job.
